Territorial Force—

Lieutenant F. J. Cooke, 3rd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Armoured Corps, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 16th November, 1947. Dated 23rd September, 1950.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ENGINEERS

Territorial Force—

Major S. E. Anderson, B.E., relinquishes the appointment of O.C., 2nd Field Squadron, R.N.Z.E., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Engineers, with the rank of Major, with seniority from 17th December, 1944. Dated 10th October, 1950.

Captain A. G. V. Woodward relinquishes the appointment of Quartermaster, Headquarters 1st Field Engineer Regiment, R.N.Z.E., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Engineers, with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 19th April, 1948. Dated 12th October, 1950.

THE ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY CORPS

Territorial Force—

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own)—

Temp. Lieutenant R. G. Fitzgibbon, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 18th September, 1944. Dated 10th October, 1950.

Temp. Lieutenant W. F. C. Johnson, 1st Battalion, is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 11th October, 1950.

Temp. Lieutenant B. W. Tipling, 1st Battalion, is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Captain. Dated 12th October, 1950.

Temp. Lieutenant G. N. Utting, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 1st March, 1943. Dated 12th October, 1950.

Temp. 2nd Lieutenant E. G. Coleman, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 18th May, 1942. Dated 10th October, 1950.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) P. T. F. Tuite, seconded to the Sacred Heart College Cadets, is confirmed.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) R. H. Lockstone, seconded to the Auckland Grammar School Cadets, lapses. Dated 26th October, 1950.

The Hauraki Regiment—

2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) A. N. Booth, seconded to the Pio Pio District High School Cadets, resigns his commission. Dated 18th September, 1950.

The Wellington West Coast and Taranaki Regiment—

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) J. M. Grant to be Captain and remains seconded to the Marton District High School Cadets. Dated 6th September, 1950.

Lieutenant H. W. Wotton to be Captain and remains seconded to the Opunake District High School Cadets. Dated 1st October, 1950.

2nd Lieutenant A. K. Hamilton to be Lieutenant and remains seconded to the Taihape District High School Cadets. Dated 1st June, 1949.

2nd Lieutenant A. D. Brooker to be Lieutenant and remains seconded to the Marton District High School Cadets. Dated 29th August, 1949.

2nd Lieutenant J. H. Hitchcock to be Lieutenant and remains seconded to the Flock House Cadets. Dated 23rd June, 1950.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, dated 5th October, 1950, relative to 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) T. C. Edmond, seconded to the Ohakune District High School Cadets, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted :—

“ The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) T. C. Edmond, seconded to the Ohakune District High School Cadets, is confirmed.”

The Hawke’s Bay Regiment—

Lieutenant R. S. Liddell, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 14th August, 1947, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 25th September, 1950.

The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment—

2nd Lieutenant K. R. Askew to be Lieutenant and remains seconded to the Motueka District High School Cadets. Dated 30th September, 1950.

The Otago and Southland Regiment—

Lieutenant H. C. Brock, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Canterbury Regiment, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 23rd November, 1947. Dated 15th August, 1950.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS

Regular Force—

Captain S. M. King is posted to the Retired List. Dated 24th October, 1950.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS

Territorial Force—

Major J. K. L. Fanthorpe, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Royal N.Z. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, to be Major, with seniority from 10th February, 1947, and is appointed O.C., 2nd Infantry Workshops (Composite), R.N.Z.E.M.E. Dated 21st September, 1950.

Major L. R. Sprague, B.D.S., relinquishes the appointment of O.C. 1st Mobile Dental Unit, R.N.Z.D.C., and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 14th September, 1950.

THE ROYAL N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT

Territorial Force—

The Rev. E. A. Addis, Chaplain, 3rd Class, Church of England, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Royal N.Z. Chaplains Department, with the rank of Chaplain, 3rd Class, with seniority from 16th February, 1949. Dated 26th July, 1950.

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE

Regular Force—

Charge Sister K. Bland is granted an extension of her short-service commission to 31st October, 1952.

Territorial Force—

Jean Miriam Mitchell to be Sister and is taken on strength of the 1st General Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C. Dated 27th October, 1950.

Nancy Clare Varnham to be Sister and is taken on strength of the 2nd General Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C. Dated 27th October, 1950.
