I HEREBY convene a general meeting of Alan Doull, Limited (in liquidation), to be held at my office, Premier Buildings, Durham Street East, Auckland, on the 6th day of November, 1950, at 3 p.m., for the purpose of laying before such meeting the liquidator’s accounts showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of.

NELSON CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Nelson Catchment Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorized to be raised by the Nelson Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the Local Contribution towards the cost of river-protection work in the Motueka River from Alexander Bluff Bridge to the sea, and work in the Riwaka River and Brooklyn and Little Sydney Streams, the said Nelson Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on A Class land, four-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on B Class land, two-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on C Class land, and one-sixteenth of one penny in the pound on D Class land, and G Class land exempt, upon the capital value of all the rateable property in that portion of the Boards District comprising all that area of land in the Land District of Nelson and designated as the “Motueka - Riwaka River Control Special Rating Area” bounded as follows:—

All that land in the Waimea County and Motueka Borough bounded by a line commencing at the north-east corner of Section 11, being closed road, Block IV, Motueka Survey District; thence generally in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of the said Section 11 to the south-east corner of Section 2 of 170 of the aforesaid Block and Survey District; thence to the south-west corner of Section 170, Block IV, Motueka Survey District; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 16 of 175, 15 of 175, 14 of 175, 13 of 175, 195, 203, 225, 236, to the south-western corner of 4 of 31, all in Block III, Motueka Survey District; thence in a southerly and westerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Section 1 of 32, 1 of 33, 122, 123, to the south-east corner of Section 123, all in Block VII, Motueka Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 124 and 125, Block VI, Motueka Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 125 of the aforesaid Block and Survey District; thence west along the southern boundaries of Section Part 26 to the south-west corner of Section 27, Block IX, Kaiteriteri Survey District; thence in a northerly direction to the north-west corner of the last-mentioned section; thence east along the northern boundary to the north-east corner of the aforesaid Section 27; thence south along the eastern boundary of the aforesaid Section 27 to the south-west corner of Section 45, Block VII, Kaiteriteri Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 27, part 26, 2 of 25, in Blocks IX and X, Kaiteriteri Survey District, to the north-east corner of the aforesaid Section 2 of 25; thence in a southerly direction to the north-west corner of Section 79, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District; thence east along the northern boundaries of Sections 79, 78, 77, and 76, to the north-east corner of the last-mentioned sections; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Section 76 to the north-west corner of Section 75, in the aforesaid Block and Survey District; thence east along the northern boundaries of Sections 75 and 73, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District, to the north-east corner of Section 73; thence north along the western boundary to the north-west corner of Section 20, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 20 and 21 to the north-east corner of Section 21; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Section 21 to the north-west corner of Section 70; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 70 and 68 to the south-east corner of Section 94; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000) authorized to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in that part of the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power District comprised in the constituted districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the Borough of Hastings, and the Town District of Havelock North, the said Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven one-hundredths (7/100ths) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the Borough of Hastings, the County of Hawke’s Bay, and the Town Districts of Havelock North and Taradale; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
