A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres 1 rood 25 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Allotments 258A and 259 on D.P. 1590; and Allotment 260, Parish of Taupiri.

Situated in Block II, Hapuakohe Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 34372.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132632, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of October, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection 5 of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948 I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land, being closed road, described in the First Schedule hereto, to be added to the Reserve for the Public Service of the Province of Nelson, described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of closed road: 1 acre 0 roods 15 perches.

Being Section 104, District of Suburban South; formerly adjoining or passing through part Section 39 and part Section 31A, District of Suburban South.

Situated on Block IV, Waimea Survey District, Waimea County (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9569.)

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131028, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, containing by admeasurement 50 acres 3 roods 32 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 39 and 40, District of Suburban South, situated in Block IV, Waimea Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in Conveyance Number 1506 (Deeds Index, Volume 5, folio 391), recorded in Volume 30, folio 62, Nelson Deeds Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of October, 1950.

Authorizing the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within the Hutt Valley Electric-power District and Outer Area, and Revoking Existing Licences

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of October, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the First Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of section 76 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, subject to the said conditions, doth hereby authorize the licensee to construct and maintain the said electric works; and further, doth hereby revoke the Orders in Council referred to in the Second Schedule hereto, authorizing the licensee to erect and use certain electric lines.

CONDITIONS

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS

THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of the licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively; Provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required except in the normal course of alteration, repair, or maintenance, to reconstruct in conformity with the regulations hereinbefore mentioned any electric lines or works which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of the construction thereof.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

Bulk supply at a nominal pressure of 11,000 volts between phases shall be received from the State Hydro-electric Department's substations at Khandallah, Melling, Upper Hutt, and Pahautanui, or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be mutually arranged between the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department and the licensee.

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (f), and (h) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The primary distribution voltages shall be 11,000 volts and 6,600 between phases.

  1. DURATION OF LICENCE

The licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1971.

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described within the Hutt Valley Electric-power District as described in the Second Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 5th day of July, 1922, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 6th day of the same month, and in the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 9th day of December, 1924, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 11th day of the same month, and the outer area of such district as described in the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 10th day of December, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 22nd day of the same month at page 2915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the 17th day of December, 1929, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 9th day of January, 1930, at page 9, authorizing the Waimea Electric Supply and Manufacturing Company, Limited, to use water from the Wairoa River for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect electric lines in portion of the Waimea County and in Richmond Borough and the Tahunanui Town District, the rights, powers, and privileges of the Waimea Electric Supply and Manufacturing Company, Limited, under the said Order in Council having been assigned to the Waimea Electric-power Board by an Order in Council dated the 7th day of October, 1933, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th day of the same month at page 2498.
