Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

J. H. Adam, Waiouru, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed on service-station and garage premises at Waiouru.

A. L. Jeffery, Ruby Bay, Nelson, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station premises at Ruby Bay, Nelson.

A. F. De Luca and A. C. Flutey, Karapiro, via Cambridge, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed garage premises at Karapiro.

H. R. Tressler, Kaitieke, Raurimu, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Kaitieke, Raurimu.

E. V. Ralls, Ltd., Hukerenui, has applied for permission to shift two pumps from their present position alongside his store to a new site on the corner of Cemetery and Old Country Roads, Hukerenui.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 2nd November, 1950, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. The Standards Act, 1941.—Amendment of Standard Specifications

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 10th day of October, 1950, the undermentioned standard specifications were amended by the Minister of Industries and Commerce by the incorporation of the amendments shown hereunder :—

Claim for Registration of School Colours

Education Department,
Wellington, 11th October, 1950.

THE following claim for registration of school colours, &c., has been made in accordance with the regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th August, 1915, and amendments thereto.

The claim will be registered unless objection is received by me within forty days of the publication hereof.

MURCHISON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL

Colours

Cap: Mid-grey.

Socks: Mid-grey; on turnover, one ½ in. gold band between two ⅜ in. saxe-blue bands, each ⅛ in. distant from the gold band.

Tie: Alternate diagonal mid-grey and saxe-blue stripes each 1 in. wide. Running through the centre of each saxe-blue stripe, three ⅛ in. gold stripes ⅛ in. apart.

Badge

On saxe-blue shield edged in gold, the monogram “MDHS” in gold letters. Beneath the monogram a gold scroll bearing the motto “Age Quod Agis” in saxe-blue letters.
