City Council’s Loan of £24,500 and Prescribing the Conditions
Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
October, 1950
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 15th day of
September, 1948 (hereinafter called the said Order in
Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and
repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the
Timaru City Council (hereinafter called the said local authority)
of a loan of twenty-four thousand five hundred pounds (£24,500)
to be known as “Timaru Streets Improvement Loan, 1944 (Issue
of £24,500)” (hereinafter called the said loan):
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in
Council has lapsed in accordance with the provisions of clause (7)
thereof and it is not now lawful or competent for the said local
authority to raise the said loan or any portion thereof except in
accordance with the provisions of a further Order in Council that
may be issued pursuant to section 11 of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act):
And whereas an amount of two thousand eight hundred
pounds (£2,800) (hereinafter called the said sum) has not yet been
raised and it is expedient to authorize the said local authority to
raise the said sum on the conditions hereinafter set out:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on
him by section 11 of the said Act, as set out in section 29 of the
Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in
New Zealand by the said local authority of the said sum up to the
amount of two thousand eight hundred pounds (£2,800) for the
purpose for which the said loan was authorized and in giving such
consent doth hereby determine as follows:
(1) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said
sum or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the
lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings
(£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(2) The said sum or any part thereof shall be repaid by the
annual redemption of debentures on the 30th day of September,
1956.
(3) The payment of interest and the redemptions in respect
of the said sum shall be made in New Zealand.
(4) No amount payable either as interest or as a redemption in
respect of the said sum shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and pro-
curation fees in respect of the raising of the said sum or any part
thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of
any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the
expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Simpson and McGlashen Streets in the
Borough of Motueka, at Widths of Less than 66 feet, Subject to a
Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works
Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Motueka Borough
Council to permit the laying-off of Simpson Street and McGlashen
Street, together described in the Schedule hereto, at widths for
the whole of their respective lengths of less than 66 feet, but, in
respect of the said Simpson Street, not less than 40 feet, and, in
respect of the said McGlashen Street, not less than 50 feet, subject
to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any
time be erected on the land fronting the said proposed streets
within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-lines of the said streets.
SCHEDULE
THOSE proposed streets in the Nelson Land District, Borough of
Motueka, to be known as Simpson and McGlashen Streets, together
containing by admeasurement 2 roods 39·5 perches, more or less,
being part Lot 3, D.P. 1575, being also part Section 161, Maori
Reserve, “Motueka Original,” Block IV, Motueka Survey District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 132378, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street (Tay Street) Off Ivanhoe Road
in the City of Auckland, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-
line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
October, 1950

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act,
1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby authorize the Auckland City Council to permit
the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto
at a width for part of its length of less than 66 feet but not less than
50 feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the
plan marked P.W.D. 132514, referred to in the said Schedule
within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, City
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 16·4 perches,
more or less, being part Lot 62, D.P. 19442, part Lot 63, D.P. 19442,
and part Lot 31, D.P. 19592, being portions Allotment 20, Section 7,
Suburbs of Auckland.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 132514, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

the City of Auckland

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Auckland
City Council to lay-off the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than 66 feet
but not less than 64 feet.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street (extension of Combesdale Road) in the North
Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, containing by admeasure-
ment 2 roods 0·2 perches, more or less, being part Lot 9, D.P. 32110,
being part Allotments 79 and 80, Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 132436 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of Sandstone-Kingston Crossing Road and Portion
of Blue Road in the Southland County to be County Roads

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of
October, 1950
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.
SCHEDULE
ALL those portions of the roads in the Southland Land District,
Southland County, known as Sandstone-Kingston Crossing Road and
Blue Road, in Block XXXVIII, Hokonui District as follows:
First, all that portion of the Sandstone-Kingston Crossing
Road, commencing at its junction with Blue Road and proceeding
thence in a south-westerly direction, adjoining Lots 28 and 29,
D.P. 379, for a distance of 21 chains, more or less.
Secondly, all that portion of the Blue Road, commencing at
a point 72 chains south-east of its junction with the Sandstone-
Kingston Crossing Road, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly
direction, adjoining Lots 23, 24, and 31, D.P. 379, for a distance
of 15 chains, more or less.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 132267, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red and blue respectively.
