NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE LAND AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the minute-book of the company, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, dated the 3rd day of October, 1950, it was resolved—

“That as the company is unable to meet its obligations it be wound up voluntarily and that, subject to the approval of the creditors, JACK GOLDSMITH O’SULLIVAN, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.”

A meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the offices of John Murphy and Co., Prudential Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on the 12th day of October, 1950, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to act as liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING CONSOLIDATED RATE

IN pursuance of the provisions of the Nelson City Special Rates Consolidation Act, 1950, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to make and levy an annually recurring rate (hereinafter referred to as a consolidated rate) of three-pence and one hundred and thirty-five two hundred and fifty-sixths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (being the unimproved value) on all rateable property within the City of Nelson such rate being on a uniform basis for the whole City and being in lieu of the special rates made and levied in respect of the loans set out in the Schedule hereto and being calculated to produce a sum greater than the annual charges payable in respect of the said loans which are secured by such special rates by an amount equal to ten per centum of those annual charges.
