VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP RESOLUTION

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of RIDGEMOUNT LIMITED.

THE following special resolution dated 2nd October, 1950, has been passed under the provisions of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, by all the members of the above-named company :—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily and that JOHN McLENNAN, Public Accountant, of Napier, be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of PARKINSON AND O’BRIEN, LTD.

BY an entry in its minute-book dated 20th September, 1950 (under section 300 of the Companies Act), the above-named company passed the following resolutions :—

“ That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it be wound up voluntarily.

“ That J. E. STEDMAN, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby nominated liquidator of the company.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 to be known as the Gasworks Loan No. 3, 1950, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing and installing a carburetted water gas plant with a 3,000 ft. relief holder and necessary auxiliaries at the Nelson City Gasworks, the Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three two hundred and fifty-sixths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the City of Nelson ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 24th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Nelson City Council held on the 23rd day of August, 1950.

UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1926

To the Warden of the Hauraki Mining District, at Te Aroha

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Te Aroha, hereby applies for a licence for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Mark on pegs : 1.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 2nd October, 1950, at 11 a.m.

Date and number of miner’s right : 15th May, 1950 ; No. 86935.

Address for service : The offices of Gilchrist, Sons, and Burns, Solicitors, Boundary Street, Te Aroha.

Dated at Te Aroha, this 4th day of October, 1950.

LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points ; also description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise : Starting from junction of Army Creek and Waiorongomai Stream ; thence in a southerly direction near Western bank of Waiorongomai Stream to north end of Kilgour Street through Crown land ; thence in a westerly direction through Crown and private lands, Sections 14, 15, 6, 5, and 4, Block XII, Aroha Survey District, to junction of Shaftesbury Road and south-west corner of Section 4 ; thence along Shaftesbury Road in north-west direction to Borough boundary.

Length and intended course of race : 150 chains, course as above.

Points of intake : Junction of Army Creek and Waiorongomai Stream.

Estimated time and cost of construction : 2 years ; £8,000.

Mean depth and breadth : 9 inch diameter pipe laid in trench 2 ft. × 3 ft. also additional land 18 ft. wide elsewhere than on roadway.

Number of heads to be diverted : One.

Purpose for which water is to be used : Domestic.

Proposed term of licence : 21 years.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Loan, 1949, £131,173

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £131,173, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for improving the water-supply system, including installation of a new main from the headworks, filter plant, arterial main and new mains within the Borough, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1⁸⁄₆₄d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Tauranga ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Voluntary Winding-up Resolution

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed on the 5th day of October, 1950, by a memorandum signed for the purpose of becoming an entry in the minute-book of the company as provided by subsections (1) and (3) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933 :—

“ (1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“ (2) That THOMAS FERGUSON MCKENZIE, of Hawera, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
