Proclaiming Maori Land to be Vested in His Majesty the King

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 450 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Maori land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 4 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, called or known as Maungatautari 4H 5B 1 Block, situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Maungatautari Survey District, being the residue of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 293, folio 261 (Auckland Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of October, 1950.

Additional Land at New Plymouth Taken for the Purposes of the Foxton – New Plymouth Railway

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Foxton – New Plymouth Railway.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the additional piece of land taken: 1 acre 1 rood 7·27 perches.

Being portions of Bulkeley Terrace and Cutfield Road.

Situated in the City of New Plymouth. (S.O. 8390.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10481, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of October, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power (Bombay Substation).

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 1 acre.

Being part Allotment 2, Suburban Section 3, Opaheke Parish.

Situated in Block IX, Opaheke Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 35901.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132439, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of October, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a secondary school; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of October, 1950.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 3 acres 3 roods 39·6 perches.

Being part Rural Section 70.

Situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8227.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132481, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of October, 1950.

Land Taken Subject to Certain Rights, for a Workers' Hostel in the Borough of Huntly

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject as to the land first described in the said Schedule, to the mining rights created in and by Conveyance No. 119589 (R. 41/265), Auckland Land Registry, and, as to the land secondly described in the said Schedule, to the mining rights created in and by Transfers Nos. 13479 and 172443, Auckland Land Registry, for a workers' hostel; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of October, 1950.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of October, 1950.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for buildings of the General Government; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of October, 1950.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 9 acres 3 roods 0·3 perches.

Being part of Whetumatarau Block, now part of Section 3, Block XII, Matakaoa Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 79, folio 215, Gisborne Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of October, 1950.
