Varying the Determinations in Respect of the Balance (£48,500) of the Nelson City Council’s Loan of £60,000

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of September, 1950
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 26th day of March, 1947 (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Nelson City Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of sixty thousand pounds (£60,000) to be known as “Drainage Improvement Loan, 1947” (hereinafter called the said loan) :
And whereas the sum of eleven thousand five hundred pounds (£11,500) has been raised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the balance of the said loan amounting to forty-eight thousand five hunderd pounds (£48,500) (hereinafter called the said sum) :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum by prescribing as follows :—
(1) In lieu of a term of thirty (30) years as specified in clause (1) of the said Order in Council the term for which the said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty-five (25) years.
(2) In lieu of provision being made for the repayment of the said sum by the establishment of a sinking fund in respect thereof as specified in clause (3) of the said Order in Council, the said sum or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term of twenty-five (25) years.
(3) No moneys shall be borrowed under the consent given by the said Order in Council after the expiration of five (5) years from the date thereof.

HIS EXCELLENCEY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 26th day of January, 1949 (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Nelson City Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) to be known as “Sewerage Extension Loan, 1948” (hereinafter called the said loan) :
And whereas the sum of four thousand nine hundred pounds (£4,900) has been raised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the balance of the said loan amounting to fifteen thousand one hundred pounds (£15,100) (hereinafter called the said sum) :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum by prescribing as follows :—

Revoking a Previous Order in Council and Reapportioning Representation on the Wairarapa Electric-power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of October, 1950
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCEY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke as from the date of the next General Election of the representatives of the constituent districts of the Wairarapa Electric-power District, the Order in Council dated the 22nd day of May, 1940, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 30th day of the same month, at page 1276, apportioning representation on the Wairarapa Electric-power Board, and doth hereby determine, in lieu thereof, that on and after the said date, the number of representatives of each constituent district on the said Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district ; and doth further determine that the constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and that the principal local authority of such combined district shall be the local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)”.

HIS EXCELLENCEY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke as from the date of the next general election of the representatives of the constituent districts of the Central Waikato Electric-power District, the Order in Council dated the 2nd day of April, 1941, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 3rd day of the same month at page 813, apportioning representation on the Central Waikato Electric-power Board, and doth hereby determine in lieu thereof that on and after the said date, the number of representatives of each constituent district on the said Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district; and doth further determine that the first election of the representatives of the constituent districts of part Hamilton City and Ngaruawahia Borough shall be held on the date of the said next general election.
