IN LIQUIDATION
Notice of Voluntary Winding-up
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of the NORTH CANTERBURY GUARANTEE CORPORATION, LIMITED, in liquidation.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company duly convened and held on the 28th day of June, 1950, the following special resolution was duly passed :—
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That Mr. LESLIE DIEDRICH JAMES SMITH, of Rangiora, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
Dated this 30th day of June, 1950.
Notice to Creditors to Prove
The liquidator of the North Canterbury Guarantee Corporation, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 21st day of July, 1950, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, a general meeting of shareholders of The Patten Company, Limited, will be held in the offices of Messrs. Griffin and Hodgson, Public Accountants, Nelson, on Friday, 13th October, 1950, at 11 a.m., for the presentation of the liquidator’s final statement of accounts showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of.

THE PHARMACY BOARD ELECTION REGULATIONS 1940
Notice of Election
NOTICE is hereby given that an election of members of the Pharmacy Board is to be held to appoint persons to represent the employees. Rolls of the persons entitled to vote will close at 12 (noon) on Monday, the 23rd day of October, 1950.
The last hour and day fixed for receiving nominations of candidates for the election is four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 3rd day of November, 1950.
The last hour and day for receiving voting-papers for the election (should a poll be required) will be four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 24th day of November, 1950.
Nominations, on the prescribed form, of candidates for election as employees’ representatives, and voting-papers relating to such candidates, will be received at the office of the Secretary of the N.Z. Federated Shop Assistants’ Industrial Association of Workers, No. 194 Gloucester Street, Christchurch.

Notice of Election
NOTICE is hereby given that a general election of members of the Pharmacy Board is to be held. Rolls of the persons entitled to vote will be closed for the purposes of the election, at noon on Monday, the 23rd day of October, 1950.
The last hour and day fixed for receiving nominations of candidates for the election is four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 3rd day of November, 1950.
The last hour and day for receiving voting-papers for the election (should a poll be required) will be four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 24th day of November, 1950.
Nominations, on the prescribed form, of candidates for election as employers’ representatives, and voting-papers relating to such candidates, will be received at the office of the Registrar under the Pharmacy Act, 1939, situated at 59 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington C. 3.

WAITAKI RABBIT BOARD
Resolution Making Special Rate
Moved by Mr. W. P. Cameron
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waitaki Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,250, of the Housing Loan, 1950, authorized to be raised by the Waitaki Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of houses for the Board’s employees, the said Waitaki Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and eighteen one-thousandths (0·218) of a penny upon each acre in the whole of the Waitaki Rabbit District, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of October and the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Seconded by Mr. D. L. Matheson and carried.
We, J. Trotter and C. C. Gillies, Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Waitaki Rabbit Board, certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Board held in the Library, Kurow, on the 14th day of September, 1950, at the hour of 7.30 in the evening, and that the said resolution has been published in the New Zealand Gazette under No. 62 on the 28th day of September, 1950, at page 1800.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership business of WILLIAM GLEN AND SONS, of Te Teko, Farmers and Storekeepers (Partners: William Glen, the estate of Janet Glen deceased, and Robert Glen), has been dissolved. The storekeeping business has been acquired and taken over by ROBERT GLEN and he is now conducting same on his own account. The farming part of the said partnership business has been taken over and will be continued by WILLIAM GLEN and the estate of JANET GLEN, deceased.

HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY
Notice of Intention to Take Land
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hauraki Plains County Council proposes, under section 198 of the Counties Act, 1920 (as amended by section 18 of The Counties Amendment Act, 1949), and under the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—namely, to the establishment at Ngatea of a community centre comprising recreation-grounds and a public hall—and for that purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situate at Ngatea, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers in Ngatea.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by the shareholders of the above company on the 30th day of August, 1950 :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that DOUGLAS EDWARD SOUTHWICK, of Rotorua, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator of the company.”
Any person having a claim against the company is required to supply particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the 31st October, 1950, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.
