Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act, 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 10th day of June, 1948, and gazetted on the 24th day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act, 1948.

Altering the Boundaries of the Teviot Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Teviot Electric-power District so as to include the area described in the Schedule hereto, the said area being part of the existing Outer Area of the Otago Electric-power District.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, being part of the Tuapeka County, bounded by a line commencing at a point at the north-west corner of Section 4, Block 11, Teviot Survey District, on the present boundary of the Teviot Electric-power District, and proceeding thence north along the eastern bank of the Molyneux River to the northern boundary of the Tuapeka County; thence east along the northern boundary of the said County to the eastern boundary of Run 262G; thence south along the eastern boundaries of Run 262G to the most south-eastern corner of Run 262G, where it meets the boundaries of Runs 262H and 262J; thence south-east along the southern boundary of Run 262J; thence continuing south along the eastern boundaries of Runs 262H, 199C, 199H, 199G, 199F, 199E, and 199D to the most south-eastern corner of Run 199D; thence west along the southern boundary of Run 199D to a point where the eastern boundary of Block 6, Teviot Survey District converges with the southern boundary of Run 199D; thence south-east along the eastern boundary of the said Block 6 to a point where the said Block 6 and Blocks 5 and 16, Benger Survey District, converge; thence east along the northern boundary of the said Block 16 to its most north-easterly corner; thence south along the eastern boundaries of Blocks 16 and 17, Benger Survey District, to the most south-eastern corner of the said Block 17; thence south-east along the western bank of Gibson's Creek to the most south-eastern corner of Section 13, Block 13, Benger Survey District; thence in a direct line to the north-eastern corner of Section 2 in part of Run 658 of the Lammerlaw Survey District; thence south along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 2; thence south-east along the southern boundary of Run 658 to the north-western bank of the Tallaburn River; thence following the north-western bank of the said river to a point where it joins the northern section of a homestead section comprising 11 acres 2 roods 9 poles; thence crossing the Tallaburn River and following the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of the said homestead section to a point where it converges with the southern bank of the Tallaburn River; thence south-west along the southern bank of the said river to its confluence with the Molyneux River; thence south along the eastern bank of the Molyneux River to a point directly opposite the boundary between Block 15 and Block 1, Crookston Survey District; thence west across the said river and following the said boundary line to the junction of Blocks 15, 1, 16, and 4, Crookston Survey District; thence west along the boundary between the said Blocks 4 and 16 to the south-western corner of the said Block 4; thence north along the western boundary of the said Block 4 to the north-west corner of Section I, Block 4, Crookston Survey District, on the present boundary of the Teviot Electric-power District; thence along the present boundary of the Teviot Electric-power District to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 103, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon outlined in blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of September, 1950.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Additional Land at Marton for the Purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the proclamation dated the 27th day of January, 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same year at page 144, taking additional land at Marton for the purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway—as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10491, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Additional Land Taken for a Sports-ground in the City of Nelson

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a sports-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Nelson as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of October, 1950.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 35 perches. Being part Section 239A, City of Nelson, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 24, folio 185 (Nelson Land Registry).

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school and shall vest in the Education Board of the District of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of October, 1950.
