(b) Pelton wheel and power-house with all necessary equipment
for generating electricity, situated in part Section 2,
Square 182, Block I, Travers Survey District :
(c) Tail-race leading from the said power-house to an unnamed
stream leading to the Maruia River :
(d) Electric lines leading in a north-westerly and northerly
direction from the said power-house across the Lewis
Pass Road and an access road, to the Maruia Hot Springs
Chateau situated in part Section 2 aforesaid.

  1. DURATION OF LICENCE

This licence, unless sooner lawfully determined, shall continue
in force until the 31st day of March, 1971, or until electrical énergy is
available from an Electric-power Board or other public source of
supply, whichever is the earlier.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of
clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall
be direct current.

  1. RENTAL

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable
in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable
maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting
Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and failing such
installation, the rental shall be determined on the maximum capacity
of the generating plant installed. The present plant is rated at
13 kilowatts.

  1. NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED

Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any
right to water.

Investment of Endowment Trust Fund of Otago Harbour Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of
September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred on him by paragraph (d) of subsection (1) of
section 11 of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1933, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Otago Harbour Board
to invest ten thousand three hundred pounds (£10,300) of the
Endowment Trust Fund in debentures of the Dunedin City
Corporation bearing interest at three and one-quarter per cent.
(3¼%) and maturing 30th September, 1970.

Declaring Portions of the Rafa Downs Access (Upham) Road in the
Cheviot County to be County Road

At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of
September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot
County, adjoining the Medina Farm Settlement Road, being approxi-
mately 10 chains in length and abutting Lot 1, D.P. 13443, being
Rural Section 37426, situated in Block XV, Hawkswood Survey
District.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District,
Cheviot County, known as Upham Road, commencing at the south-
westerly boundary of the road proclaimed in the New Zealand
Gazette
No. 26, dated 13th May, 1948, at page 502 (Medina Farm
Settlement Road), and proceeding generally in north-westerly,
south-westerly, south-easterly, and again south-westerly directions
for a total distance of 230 chains, more or less, adjoining or passing
through Lot 1, D.P. 13443, being Rural Section 37426, and abutting
Lot 2, D.P. 13433, being Rural Section 37427, situated in Block
XV, Hawkswood Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated in the map
marked P.W.D. 132054, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. (Canterbury S.O.
plan 7979.)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, as amended
by section 15 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment
Act, 1938, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to
the closing of the portion of Goldsmith Road, in the City of Napier,
described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of street affected: 9·05 perches.
Adjoining Suburban Section 26, Napier, and Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 621.

Situated in the City of Napier (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2421.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131492, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
