HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, hereby authorize the New Zealand Insurance Company, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), as Executor of the Estate of David Strachan McGregor, late of Raetihi, Sheepfarmer, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
In respect of the lines hereby authorized, the licensee shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be direct current at a normal rated pressure of 230 volts.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1971, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the powerhouse situated in Section 5, Block XVI, Makotuku Survey District, in the Waimarino County, and proceeding in a southerly direction to a men’s whare, in a northerly direction to a dwelling, and in a north-easterly direction across Section 5, aforesaid, and the Oruakukuru Road, thence in a northerly direction to a shepherd’s dwelling situated in Section 1, Block XVI, Makotuku Survey District, in the County of Waimarino, the said lines being more particularly shown by means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 117, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize Eric Barbara, Fruiterer, Jack Nicolas Barbara, Hairdresser, James Abraham, Restaurant-proprietor, and Mary Henderson, Storekeeper, all of Te Araroa (hereinafter referred to as the licensees), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (j) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a direct-current system with a generating voltage and a distribution voltage of 110 volts.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1971, or until electrical energy is available from an electric-power board, or some other general public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensees’ generator situated in Section 51, Block IX, East Cape Survey District, in the Township of Te Araroa, and proceeding as follows:—
(a) In a south-westerly direction to a fruitshop and milk bar situated in Section 52:
(b) In a north-westerly direction to a hairdressing and billiard saloon situated in the said Section 51:
(c) In a north-westerly direction to a restaurant situated in the said Section 51:
(d) In a north-westerly direction to a store situated in Section 50:
(e) In a north-easterly direction to a pole situated in the said Section 50, thence in an easterly direction across Rimu Street to a dwelling situated in Section 56:
All being situated in Block IX, East Cape Survey District, in the Township of Te Araroa aforesaid.
The said lines being more particularly shown by blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 111, deposited in the Office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Authorizing Sarah Theresa Morris, of Maruia Hot Springs, Chateau Proprietress, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect Certain Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to Sarah Theresa Morris, of Maruia Hot Springs, Chateau Proprietress (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to obstruct, impound, or divert the waters of Waterfall Creek (hereinafter referred to as the said stream) situated in part Section 2, Square 182, Block I, Travers Survey District, in the Land District of Nelson, and to take and use therefrom for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of water not exceeding two cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter described.

- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to any regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity, and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in part Section 2, Square 182, Block I, Travers Survey District, as indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 100889, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works.
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 100889:—
(a) Headworks consisting of an intake, and flume, penstock, and pipe-line leading to the Pelton wheel and powerhouse hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 240 ft:
