Administration of Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, in Kiwitea County.

THE following resolution passed by the Kiwitea County Council
on the 16th day of August, 1950, is published in accordance
with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment
Act, 1934.

RESOLUTION
“THAT the Kiwitea County Council doth hereby decide to assume
the responsibility of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and amendments,
within the County of Kiwitea, as from the 1st day of November,
1950.”

The Taumarunui Milk Delivery Notice 1944, Amendment No. 7
PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Regulations 1949,* the Minister
of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Taumarunui Milk Delivery
Notice 1944, Amendment No. 7, and shall be read together with and
deemed part of the Taumarunui Milk Delivery Notice 1944† (herein-
after referred to as the principal scheme). -
Clause (6) of the principal scheme as amended is hereby
amended by revoking the words “T. M. Scott, Taumarunui” in
relation to Zone No. 3 and substituting the words “R. E. Maule,
Taumarunui.”

Pakistan : Registration of Trade Marks Previously Registered in India
TO enable protection to be obtained in Pakistan for trade marks
registered in India before the 1st April, 1948, provision has
been made under the Pakistan Act XXXVII of 1950 (Trade Marks
(Invalidation and Summary Registration) Act, 1950) for the
summary registration of such marks in Pakistan. Application for
such registration must be made to the Registrar of Trade Marks,
Laksh Building, Bunder Road, Karachi, together with certain
prescribed documents and a fee of 30 rupees, on or before the 20th
April, 1951.
Copy of the Act and Rules may be consulted at the Patent
Office during ordinary office hours.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
Declaring Land Taken for the Settlement of a Discharged
Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of
the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates
to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part
III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the
application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which
the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a
discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition
of the land, did on the 3rd day of August, 1950, make an order
determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said
order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within
any further time allowed by the Court.
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His
Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land
is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 28th day of September, 1950, as the date on which
the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing three hundred and forty-seven (347)
acres two (2) roods thirty-seven (37) perches, more or less, being
Section 36, Block X, Kaitieke Survey District, and being all the
land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 246,
folio 253, Wellington Registry.
As witness my hand, this 12th day of September, 1950.

Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of Tribal Districts to be Tribal
Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advance-
ment Act, 1945

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945, I, Ernest Bowyer Corbett, Minister
of Maori Affairs, do hereby vary the notice dated the 16th day of
December, 1947, and published in the Gazette on the 8th day of
January, 1948, at page 11, declaring parts of tribal districts to be
tribal committee areas for the purposes of the said Act, by excluding
therefrom the descriptions of the Tauponuiatia and Mokai Tribal
Committee Areas and substituting therefor the descriptions
appearing in the Schedule hereto.

MANGAKINO TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection
of the south-eastern boundary of Pouakani B 9A Block with a right
line between Trig. Station 1774 (Titiraupenga) in Block I, Marotiri
Survey District, and the easternmost corner of Maraeroa A 3B 2
Block ; thence proceeding north-westerly along the last-mentioned
right line to the easternmost corner of Maraeroa A 3B 2 Block afore-
said ; thence along right lines bearing 349° 5′, distance 3508 links,
bearing 349° 44′, distance 10266 links, bearing 29° 13′, distance
7767 links, to peg CXXX at the approximate source of the Waiteti
Stream, as shown on Survey Office Plan 20946 (2) blue ; thence
down the middle of the Waiteti Stream and down the middle of the
Waipapa River, to and up the middle of the Waikato River, to and
up the middle of the Mangakino Stream, to and up the middle of the
Mihianga Stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Pouakani C 1A Block ; thence south-easterly to and along that
boundary to the south-eastern boundary of the said Pouakani
C 1A Block ; thence south-westerly along that boundary to and
along the south-eastern boundary of Pouakani B 9A Block to the
point of commencement.
TAUPONUIATIA TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection
of a line running due south from Te Kahui Point in Block V,
Tuhingamata East Survey District and a right line between Ranga-
tira Point in Block V, Tauhara Survey District and Te Rangawha
Point in Block III, Tokaanu Survey District ; thence proceeding
north-westerly along a right line to Te Tuhi Point in Block VII,
Tuhingamata West Survey District ; thence north-easterly along a
right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 1 on the plan numbered
16593, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Auckland ; thence along the western boundary of the said Lot 1,
along the north-western boundaries of Pakuri and Tatua East Blocks,
along the southern boundary of Tatua East No. 24c Block to Trig.
Station 1121 (Maroanui) ; thence south-easterly along a right line
to Trig. Station G (Putauaki), a right line to the easternmost corner
of Te Hukui South Block in Block VI, Tatua Survey District, along
a right line to the northern corner of Tahorakuri No. 2D Block in
Block XI, Tatua Survey District, and along the eastern boundary
of the aforesaid block and its production to the middle of the Waikato
River ; thence south-westerly generally up the middle of the said
river to a point in the middle of the outlet of Lake Taupo ; thence
south-westerly along a right line to Rangitira Point and a right line
to the point of commencement.
MOKAI TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
All the area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 1774
(Titiraupenga), in Block I, Marotiri Survey District ; thence
proceeding north-westerly along a right line in the direction of the
easternmost corner of Maraeroa A 3B 2 Block to the south-eastern
boundary of Pouakani B 9A Block ; thence north-easterly along the
south-eastern boundary of Pouakani B 9A Block and the south-
eastern boundary of Pouakani C 1A Block, to and along the north-
eastern boundary of that block and its production to the middle of
the Mihianga Stream ; thence north-easterly and north-westerly
generally down the middle of that stream, down the middle of the
Mangakino Stream, and down the middle of the Waikato River to
its confluence with the Waipapa River ; thence easterly along a
right line to Trig. Station F (Ngautuku) in Block VI, Te Atiamuri
Survey District ; thence south-westerly along a right line to the
confluence of the Ongarahu Stream with the Waikato River ; thence
southerly generally up the middle of the Ongarahu Stream to a
point due east of Trig. Station 1134 (Pukemoremore) in Block I,
Tuhingamata West Survey District ; thence due west to the said
Trig. Station 1134 ; thence southerly along a right line to the south-
western corner of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 16593, deposited in
the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland ; thence south-
westerly along a right line to Te Tuhi Point in Block VII, Tuhinga-
mata West Survey District ; thence south-easterly along a right
line to the intersection of a line running due south from Te Kahui
Point in Block V, Tuhingamata East Survey District and a right
line between Rangatira Point in Block V, Tauhara Survey District,
and Te Rangawha Point in Block III, Tokaanu Survey District ;
thence south-westerly along the last-mentioned right line to its
intersection with a right line between Trig. Station G in Block V,
Tokaanu Survey District, and Trig. Station 2007 in Block XI,
Marotiri Survey District ; thence north-westerly along the last-
mentioned right line to Trig. Station 2007, along a right line
to Trig. Station 1549 (Mauui) in Block VI, Marotiri Survey
District, and along a right line to Trig. Station 1774, the point of
commencement.
