MUTUAL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY, LIMITED
NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP
In the matter of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of MUTUAL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY, LIMITED.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named society duly convened and held at Auckland, on the 9th day of August, 1950, the following resolution was passed :—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the society cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the society be wound up voluntarily.”

Notice to Creditors
NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned, DUNCAN SANDFORD COX, of Auckland, Public Accountant, has been appointed liquidator of the above-named Mutual Co-operative Society, Limited, and that any person having a claim against the society which is being wound up voluntarily is required to furnish proof of debt to the undersigned on or before the 30th day of September, 1950, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Electric-power Station Construction and Tramways Improvement Loan, 1920, Renewal Loan 1950, of £73,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 16th day of August, 1950 :—
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of seventy-three thousand pounds (£73,000) to be known as the Wellington City Electric-power Station Construction and Tramways Improvement Loan, 1920, Renewal Loan, 1950, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity to the extent that sinking funds are insufficient, the outstanding liability in respect of the Wellington City Electric-power Station Construction and Tramways Improvement Loan, 1920, Renewal Loan 1940, of £484,500 (portion £229,500), the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and five eight-hundredths of a penny (1⁰⁵⁄₈₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years from the 1st day of December, 1950, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes to execute a certain public work—namely, to provide a service-lane—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Napier City Council, Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the public work or by the taking of the land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days after the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the offices aforesaid.
SCHEDULE
SEVEN decimal twenty-seven perches (7·27p.) being part of Town Section 280, Napier, as the same is more particularly delineated on a Plan marked 2452 (red), deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, and thereon coloured blue.

LOST SHARE CERTIFICATE
APPLICATION has been made to the above company to issue a new certificate of title to Shares Nos. 381014 to 381019, both inclusive, in lieu of Original Certificate No. 1803, issued in the name of CHARLES ROBERT GIBBONS, of Auckland, and the said CHARLES ROBERT GIBBONS has made a statutory declaration that the original certificate of title to the said shares has been lost.
Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days from date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate, a new certificate will be issued in place thereof.

TARARUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tararua Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (to be known as Supplementary Loan, 1947, third instalment) authorized to be raised by the Tararua Electric-power Board in New Zealand by Special Order under the above-mentioned Act, and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling, for the purpose of further reticulation in the Counties of Pahiatua, Eketahuna, and Mauriceville, and in the Boroughs of Pahiatua and Eketahuna, the said Tararua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₅₀ths (three fiftieths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in that portion of the rating area of the Tararua Electric-power District comprising the following special rating area—namely, the Board’s original district as defined in New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of the 23rd March, 1922—and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Tararua Electric-power Board held on the 18th day of August, 1950.
