Price Order No. 1185 (Amendment No. 3 of Price Order No. 1128)
(Main Crop Potatoes)
Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal,
acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and
Commerce, hereby makes the following amending Price Order :—
-
This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1185, and shall
be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1128*
(hereinafter referred to as the principal Order). -
This Order shall come into force on the 27th day of August,
-
(1) This Order applies with respect to all potatoes which,
being subject to the principal Order, are sold by a grower for
delivery at any time after the commencement of this Order and
on or before the 30th day of November, 1950.
(2) For the purposes of this Order no potatoes sold on the
basis of f.o.b.s.e. or f.o.r.s.e. shall be deemed to be delivered to
the purchaser after the commencement of this Order if—
(a) In the case of sales f.o.b.s.e. the vessel on which the potatoes
are laden leaves the port of shipment at any time before
midnight on the 26th day of August, 1950; or
(b) In the case of sales f.o.r.s.e. the trucks on which the potatoes
are laden leave the grower’s station at any time before
midnight of the said date.
(3) Except as provided in the last preceding subclause, potatoes
sold f.o.b.s.e. or f.o.r.s.e. shall be deemed to be delivered to the
purchaser after the commencement of this Order notwithstanding
that they may have been actually laden on board any vessel or
trucks before the commencement of this Order.
MODIFICATION OF PRINCIPAL ORDER WITH RESPECT TO POTATOES
THAT ARE SUBJECT TO THIS ORDER
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the principal
Order the maximum price that may be charged by any grower for
any potatoes to which this Order applies shall be determined in
accordance with the following scale, namely :—
(a) For Sutton’s Supreme, Red Dakota, or King Edward
potatoes grown in the South Island and sold for delivery—
Maximum Price per Ton f.o.b.s.e.
a Port in the South Island.

The following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of
Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Ngaruawahia
is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1926.

NGARUAWAHIA BOROUGH COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I
hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of
Ngaruawahia, taken on the 2nd day of August, 1950, on the proposal
of the Ngaruawahia Borough Council to borrow the sum of £34,720
for street sealing, formation and concreting of footpaths, purchase
of plant, extension and improvements to waterworks.
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 85
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was.. 39
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Air to Air Firing Range Established
Position : Lat. 46° 14′ S. ; long., 170° 07′ E.
Details : An air to air firing range has been established between
the following lines—commencing at the above position 220° 5 miles,
thence 138° 8 miles, thence 040° 5 miles, thence 318° 8 miles to
commencing point.
Remarks : The range is likely to be used at any time during the
hours of daylight, but will only be used for air firing.
