PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Amending a Proclamation Altering the Boundaries of the Waitomo and Wairere Electric-power Districts

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and to all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Proclamation dated the 5th day of August, 1947, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 7th day of the same month, at page 955, altering the boundaries of the Waitomo and Wairere Electric-power Districts, by omitting the description of the area and boundaries of the Waitomo Electric-power District set forth in the Fourth Schedule and substituting the description in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
WAITOMO ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Auckland and Taranaki Land Districts, situated in the Counties of Kawhia, Otorohanga, Waipa, and Waitomo, and including the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti and the Town District of Otorohanga, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block IX, Kawhia North Survey District, known as Urawitiki Point, being on the southern side of the entrance to the Kawhia Harbour, and running easterly generally along the southern shores of the said harbour, to and up the middle of the Waiharakeke Stream, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Taumatatotara No. 1F Block; thence along a right line, to and along the north-western and south-western boundaries of the said block, crossing the intervening public road, and the Waiharakeke Stream, aforesaid, along the south-western boundary of Taumatatotara No. 1G Block, the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Taumatatotara No. 4B 4 Block, to and along the south-western and southern boundaries of Lot 11 as shown on the plans numbered 7460, 7461, and 7462, deposited in the Office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Hauturu West G 2 No. 2B 2 Block, crossing two intervening public roads, to and along the southern boundary of Section 1, Block III, Kawhia South Survey District, a right line across a public road, to and along the generally southern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, of the said Survey District, and Section 8, Block I, Orahiri Survey District, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Hauturu Road; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of the said road, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 3 of the aforesaid Block I; thence along a right line to and along the said southern boundary, and a right line across a public road, to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 4 of Block I, aforesaid, to and along the southern boundary of Section 6B, Block II, Orahiri Survey District, and a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of Tapuae Road; thence northerly generally along the middle of that road, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, of Section 7, of Block II, aforesaid; thence along a right line, to and along the southern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 2, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 of Section 7, aforesaid, and the south-eastern boundary of Section 5 of Block II, aforesaid, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 25, Block III, Orahiri Survey District, a right line across a public road to and along the generally southern and eastern boundaries of Section 29 of Block III, aforesaid, along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Section 7 of the said Block III, to the north-western corner of Section 17 of Block III, aforesaid; thence along a right line, passing through the said Section 7, to the south-western corner of part Otorohanga No. 2C 2B Block; thence easterly along the generally southern boundary of the said Otorohanga No. 2C 2B Block, crossing the intervening public road, the south-eastern boundary of Section 5 of Block III, aforesaid, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 6, Block IV, of the said Survey District, and a right line crossing a public road and passing through Sections 7B and 8A of Block IV, aforesaid, to the south-western corner of Section 43 of the said Block IV; thence along the south-western boundary of Section 43, aforesaid, and the generally western and southern boundaries of Section 29 of Block IV, aforesaid, a right line across a public road, to and along the southern boundary of Section 31 of the said Block IV, and a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of the Waipa River; thence northerly generally down the middle of the said river, to its confluence with the Mangaorongo Stream; thence easterly generally up the middle of the said stream, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 32085, deposited as aforesaid, being Section 19 and part of Section 3, Block II, Mangaorongo Survey District; thence along a right line, to and along the said south-eastern boundary, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 31111, deposited as aforesaid, being part Section 1 of Block II, aforesaid, a right line across a public road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 28228 deposited as aforesaid, being part of Section 1 of the said Block II, part Section 2, Block II, Mangaorongo Survey District, part Section 2 of the said Block II as shown on the plan numbered 24337, deposited as aforesaid, Lot 7 as shown on the plan numbered 26168, deposited as aforesaid, being part Puketarata No. 6B 2B 1 Block, Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 30155, deposited as aforesaid, being part Section 12, Block XIV, Puniu Survey District, and the south-eastern boundary of Section 5A, Block XV, Puniu Survey District, to and along the western and southern boundaries of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 7755, deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Rangitoto A No. 1A and 1B 2 Blocks, the southern boundary of Lot 3 as shown on the plan numbered 10888, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Rangi-
