IRWYN BISMARCK KING-TURNER, of 78 Tukuka Street, Nelson, Attendant, was adjudged bankrupt on 9th August, 1950. Creditors’ meeting will be held at my office in the Courthouse, Nelson, on Tuesday 22nd August, 1950, at 10.30 a.m.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of Certificate of Title, Volume 422, folio 132 (Wellington Registry), in the name of ANNIE ELIZABETH CHRISTINA BAILEY, of Makara, Married Woman, for 38·8 perches, situate in the Town of Opau, being part of Section 1 of the Opau Block, and being also Lot 8 on Deposited Plan 8890, and application (K. 29190) having been made for a new certificate of title in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice of my intention to issue such new certificate of title on the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT, 1932–33, AND THE MT. EDEN BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSION ORDER 1934 (No. 1).

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Mt. Eden Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), and the terms under which securities authorized by the said order were issued, the Mt. Eden Borough Council at a meeting held on the 29th day of May, 1950, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of all debentures maturing on the 1st day of April, 1956, of the Mt. Eden Borough Conversion Loan, 1934 (No. 1); and public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Mt. Eden Borough Council’s intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on the 1st day of April, 1951, and interest thereon will cease on the said day, viz. :—

Debentures Nos. 2649–2961 inclusive, maturing on the 1st April, 1956.

TAIERI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taieri (hereinafter called the said County), proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, to work a gravel-pit; and for the purposes of such public work the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is further given that a plan of the pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said County, situated at 14 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such pieces of land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such pieces of land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the said County.

SCHEDULE

Those pieces of land situated in the East Taieri Survey District being :—

(a) Part of Sections 5 and 6, Block XVI, of the said District, containing 18 acres 3 roods 36·2 perches, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan above mentioned, and thereon coloured blue.

(b) Part of Section 5, Block XIV, of the said District, containing 1 acre and 19·65 perches, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan above mentioned, and thereon coloured sepia.

(c) Part of Section 5, Block XIV, of the said District, containing 4 acres 3 roods 38·4 perches, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan above mentioned, and thereon coloured orange.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Grey County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the acquisition of certain land for the purpose of the construction of a road—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council, situate at Gresson Street, Greymouth, New Zealand, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, Grey County Council, Gresson Street, Greymouth.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of land required to be taken: 1 acre 3 roods 35 perches, being part Section 2, Square 121, Block IV, Ahaura Survey District, as the same is shown on Plan 4492, coloured blue. Situated in the County of Grey, in the Westland Land District.
