Special Order Made by the Mangonui County Council Altering
Riding Boundaries

Wellington, 8th August, 1950.

THE following Special Order made by the Mangonui County
Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the
Counties Act, 1920, insofar as publication is required by that Act.
Pursuant to section 100 of the aforesaid Act, as amended by
section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921-22, I hereby fix
the 10th day of August, 1950, as the date from which the alteration
of riding boundaries as set out in the said Special Order shall take
effect.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by
section 23 of the Counties Act, 1920, and of every other power
enabling it in that behalf, the Mangonui County Council hereby
resolves by way of Special Order, as follows:—

1. That part Sections 2 and 6 and Section 7, Block XIII, Takahue
   Survey District, Sections 30A, 31A, 47A, and 65A, Block VII,
   Whangape Survey District, be excluded from the Ahipara Riding
   and included in the Herekino Riding.

2. That the boundaries of the said Ahipara and Herekino
   Ridings be so altered as to give effect to the above resolution; the
   amended boundaries to be shown as in the Schedule hereunder:—

SCHEDULE

Ahipara Riding

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, in the County
of Mangonui, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block I,
Ahipara Survey District, on the sea coast and in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Allotment 44 of the Parish of Ahipara, and
running south-easterly generally along a right line, to and along the
aforesaid north-eastern boundary to the north-eastern corner of the
aforesaid Allotment 44; thence along a right line to and along the
middle of the public road forming the north-eastern boundaries of
Allotments 43 and 42, of the aforesaid Parish, and along a right
line, being the middle-line of that road produced to the left bank
of the Awanui River; thence up the left bank, aforesaid, to and up
the middle of the Waihou Channel to a point in line with the middle-
line of Bonnetts Road; thence along a right line to and along the
middle of Bonnetts Road, aforesaid, to a point in line with the south-

Herekino River

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, in the County
of Mangonui, bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the
mouth of the Herekino River and running north-easterly generally
along the south-eastern boundary of the Ahipara Riding, as herein-
before described, to the western boundary of Section 9 of Block
XIV, Takahue Survey District; thence south-easterly generally
along the western and southern boundaries of Section 9, aforesaid,
and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced
to the middle of the public road forming the eastern boundary of
Section 2 of Block XIII, Takahue Survey District; thence along
the middle of that road, to and along the middle of the public road
forming the south-western and southern boundaries of Sections 8
and 7 of Block XIV, aforesaid, along the middle of the Takahue-
