Coromandel County Council Declared a Leasing Authority Under
the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of
July, 1950
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the Coromandel County Council is a body of persons
having power to lease lands held in trust, reserved, or set
apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor-General
in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning
of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908 :
Now, therefore, in compliance with such request and in exercise
of the powers in this behalf conferred by the above-mentioned
Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order
and declare that the Coromandel County Council is a leasing
authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Owen Domain

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Dudley William Win,
Charles John Rait,
Gwyn Wilfred Thurlow,
Morris William Willetts,
Ralph Howard Granger,
Kenneth Farrell, and
Juaneta Rose Drummond
to be the Owen Domain Board, having control of the land described
in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the
27th day of July, 1950, at 8 o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the
Owen Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall
be held.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—OWEN DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods
26 perches, more or less, being part Section 3, Square 146, situated
in Block VII, Matiri Survey District, and being all the land shown
on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Nelson under
No. 4077. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 1/1226, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Recreation Reserve in Nelson Land District Brought Under Part II
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve
for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule
hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation
of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said
Act, and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Owen Domain,
and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

Varying the Determinations in Respect of the Bay of Islands Hospital
Board’s Loan of £65,000

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of
June, 1950
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 14th day of August,
1946, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in
New Zealand by the Bay of Islands Hospital Board (hereinafter
called the said local authority) of a loan of sixty-five thousand pounds
(£65,000) to be known as “ Building Loan, 1945 ” (hereinafter called
the said loan) :
And whereas by Order in Council made on the 22nd day of
June, 1949, the determinations aforesaid were varied by extending
the period within which the said loan or any portion thereof might
be raised to four (4) years from the date of the Order in Council
made on the 14th day of August, 1946 :
And whereas the said loan has still not yet been raised and it
is expedient to again vary certain of the determinations aforesaid
in respect of the said loan :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set
out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby
vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said
loan by prescribing that no moneys shall be borrowed under the
consent given by the Order in Council made on the 14th day of
August, 1946, after the expiration of five (5) years from the date
thereof.

Varying the Determinations in Respect of Balances of Loans Being
Raised by the Hastings Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of
June, 1950
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 9th day of October,
1946, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising
by the Hastings Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local
authority) of the respective loans specified in the first column of
the Schedule hereto up to the respective amounts specified in the
second column of the said Schedule :
And whereas by Order in Council made on the 18th day of
August, 1948, the determinations aforesaid were varied by extending
the period within which the unraised balances of the said respective
loans might be raised to four (4) years from the date of the Order
in Council made on the 9th day of October, 1946 :
And whereas portions of the said respective loans, as specified
in the third column of the said Schedule (hereinafter called the said
respective sums), have still not been raised, and it is expedient
to again vary the determinations in respect of the said respective
sums by further extending the term within which the said respective
sums may be raised :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set
out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby
vary the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said respective
sums by prescribing that no moneys shall be borrowed under the
consent given by the Order in Council made on the 9th day of
October, 1946, after the expiration of six (6) years from the date
thereof.
