IN LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter
of the members voluntary winding-up of VALUE DRAPERS
(LEVIN), LIMITED.
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice
is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting
of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 3rd
day of July, 1950, the following special resolutions were duly
passed:
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That Mr. J. W. MARRIOTT be and he is hereby appointed
liquidator of the company.”

THE RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROADS
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Counties
Act, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes
under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute
a certain public work—namely, altering the course of a road—and
for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
Notice is further given that plans of the lands so required to
be taken for roads are deposited in the public offices of the Clerk
to the said Council at Ngaruawahia, and at the offices of Messrs.
Tompkins and Wake, solicitors, Wesley Chambers, Victoria Street,
Hamilton, and are open for inspection by all persons during ordinary
office hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said lands
who have any well-grounded objection to the taking of the said
lands must state their objections in writing within forty (40) days
from the first publication of this notice, that is on or before the 23rd
day of August, 1950, to the Raglan County Council, at Council
Chambers, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia.

APPROXIMATE area of land to be taken: 1·6 perches, part Te Akau
B No. 12A, and 6·0 perches, part Te Akau B No. 12A.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal
Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all
other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf to
execute a certain public work, namely, for an Electric Power Sub-
station at Hamilton Road, in the City of Wellington, and for the
purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken; and that notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town
Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection,
without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours and that
all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the
taking of such land; should, if they have well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said
land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within
forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington
City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing
by admeasurement one perch and thirty-three one-hundredths of
a perch (1·33 p.) more or less being, part of Section 4, Evans Bay
District, being part of Lot 8, on D.P. 2812, being the land more
particularly shown on S.O. Plan 22117, and thereon coloured blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that a special general meeting of the
members of the Christchurch Central Mission, Incorporated,
will be held on Thursday, 3rd August, 1950, in the Mission Rooms,
53 Cathedral Square, at 8 p.m.
Business—
- To confirm the resolutions passed at the meeting held on
8th June, 1950.
(a) That the society be wound up voluntarily.
(b) That Mr. STANLEY WILLIAM AYERS, Public Servant, Christ-
church, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the
society for the purposes of a members' voluntary winding-
up.
- To consider the liquidator's account of the winding-up and
of the disposal of the property of the society.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Main Highways Loan, 1925, £45,000 : Instalment No. 3 of £5,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waipawa County Council hereby
resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) being
part of a loan of forty-five thousand pounds (£45,000) authorized
to be raised by the Waipawa County Council for providing the
Council’s contribution under the Main Highways Act, 1922, towards
the construction or reconstruction of the main highways in the
County of Waipawa ; for providing the necessary plant and
machinery for same, and for providing funds to erect bridges and
culverts in the said County, the said Waipawa County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of thirty-six one-hundredths (36/100ths)
of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of
Waipawa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly
on the first day of January in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.
“And it is further resolved that the said rate so made and levied
as is hereinabove provided shall be in confirmation of a rate for the
same amount and for the same or similar purposes made and levied
by the Council on the 11th day of May, 1925, and confirmed by a
resolution of the Council dated the 14th day of October, 1940.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waipawa County Council
on Monday, 10th July, 1950.
