Approval of Application by Whangarei Borough Council for
Declaration of a Zone of Parking Restriction

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Traffic Sign Regulations
1937, as amended by the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937,
Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve
of the application made by the Whangarei Borough Council for a
declaration that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall
be restricted to a maximum period of 60 minutes for any vehicle
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking
restriction described in the Schedule hereto, and doth revoke the
approval given on the 26th day of March, 1947.*

SCHEDULE

All that part of Water Street commencing at its meeting with
Waiarohia Stream and ending at its meeting with Bank Street;
all that part of Bank Street commencing at its meeting with Rose
Street and ending at its meeting with Hunt Street; all that part
of Cameron Street commencing at its meeting with Bank Street
and ending at its meeting with Walton Street; all that part of
Rathbone Street commencing at its meeting with Cameron Street
and ending at its meeting with Robert Street; all that part of
James Street commencing at its meeting with Cameron Street and
ending at its meeting with Robert Street; all that part of Walton
Street commencing at its meeting with Albert Street and ending
at its meeting with Cameron Street; and all that part of Vine
Street commencing at its meeting with Walton Street and ending
at its meeting with Bank Street.

Classification of Roads in Coromandel County

Pursuant to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-vehicle
Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
alter the Coromandel County Council’s proposed classification of
the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the
Coromandel County and doth hereby approve such altered classifi-
cation as described in the said Schedule.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to Take an Interest in Land

The Hon. Minister of Lands acting in pursuance of section 24
of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, as
extended by section 2 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land
Sales Amendment Act, 1948, hereby gives notice of his intention to
take under Part II of the said Act the interest of the lessee in the
land described in the Schedule hereto and specifies the 1st day of
November, 1950, as the date on which possession of the said land is
required and the 14th day of August, 1950, as the date on or before
which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that parcel of land situated in Block X, Maungaru Survey
District, containing three (3) roods seven decimal five (7·5) perches,
more or less, being part Section 20s, Tangowahine Settlement and
being part of the land described in the renewable lease comprised in
register-book, Volume 619, folio 231 (Auckland Registry).

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
as No. 3055, and thereon edged red.

Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice Declaring
Land Taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

Whereas, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settle-
ment and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the
intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the said
Act the land described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the
said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 on
the 5th day of May, 1949, at page 989 :

And whereas an objection was made by the occupier of the
said land in the manner prescribed by the said Act objecting to
the taking of the said land :

And whereas the Minister of Lands did not revoke his notice
of intention to take the said land :

And whereas the occupier of the said land did withdraw the
said objection :

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee did, on the 23rd
day of June, 1950, make an order determining that the said land
is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged
serviceman or of two or more discharged servicemen :

And whereas no appeal from the said order was made within the
time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed
by the Court :
