EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of certificate of title, Volume 69, folio 18 (Wellington Registry), in the name of DAVID LYON ABBOTT ASTBURY, of Mahoe, Farmer, and HENRY EDWARD ASTBURY, of Kimbolton, Schoolmaster, for 32 perches, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Lot 3 on the plan of subdivision of Section 299, Township of Palmerston North, deposited in the District Land Registry Office, No. 495, and application (K. 29075) having been made for a new certificate of title in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice of my intention to issue such new certificate of title on the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A GRAVEL PIT

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of the Counties Act, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the opening of a gravel pit—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan (Survey Office No. 5874) of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited in the public office of the said County Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill, and is there open to public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands and who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands must set forth such objections in writing and send the same to or lodge the same at the office of the Southland County Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice.

This notice was first published on the 28th day of June, 1950.

SCHEDULE

(1) ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Southland, containing 29·1 perches, more or less, being that part of Section 22, of Block XVII, Invercargill Hundred, shown on the said plan, Survey Office No. 5874, deposited as aforesaid and thereon coloured sepia ; and

(2) All that parcel of land in the said land district, containing twelve (12) acres one (1) rood and five (5) perches, more or less, being that part of Section 29, Block XVII, Invercargill Hundred, shown on the said plan deposited as aforesaid, and thereon coloured orange.
