CROWN LANDS NOTICE
Land in the Wellington Land District for Sale
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 3rd July, 1950.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for sale under the Land Act, 1948, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 31st July, 1950.
Applicants may be required by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, acting on behalf of the Land Settlement Board, to appear personally, at a time and place to be arranged, in support of their applications.
The ballot will be held on Thursday, the 3rd August, 1950, at the Lands and Survey Office, Wanganui, at 2 o'clock p.m., and any persons who so wish may attend.
The successful applicant is required to pay immediately on notification of result, the full purchase price, and title fee, or a deposit of £500 and licence fee.
SCHEDULE
WANGANUI CITY.—URBAN LAND
Lot 1, D.P. 14836, being part Lot 3, D.P. 4256, and being part Section 64, left bank, Wanganui River : Area, 34·75 perches. Purchase price £3,000. Deposit on deferred payments, £500 : Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (25 year term), £84 17s. 1ld. Dwelling situated in Wanganui on new street off Nixon Street, about 10 chains to the east of intersection of Nixon and Symons Street. The dwelling was completed in September, 1946, and contains 1,427 sq. ft. It comprises 3 bedrooms, sunroom, large lounge, dining-room, kitchen, bathroom, and wash-house all under the one roof. In addition there is a concrete water tank and tool shed. Main supply water and electricity are installed and stove and hot water are electric. Vacant possession can be given immediately. Inspection can be arranged by contacting Lands and Survey, District Office, Old Post-office Building, corner of Ridgeway Street and Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.
Priority will be given to applications from ex-servicemen of World War II or the wives or widows of such ex-servicemen requiring a home.
