Land Proclaimed as Street, and Street Closed, in the City of Lower Hutt

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as street the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

LAND PROCLAIMED AS STREET

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as street:—

All situated in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District (City of Lower Hutt). (S.O. 21038.)

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131642, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of July, 1950.

Altering the Boundaries of the Ashburton Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Ashburton Electric-power District so as to include the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Land District of Canterbury and in the Hutt Survey District, being portion of the County of Ashburton, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Rakaia River opposite the confluence of the Hutt Stream and the Rakaia River, and proceeding thence westerly to and up the Hutt Stream to the north-western corner of Rural Section 32408; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 32408 to the north-western boundary of Rural Section 32407; thence south-westerly along the last-mentioned boundary to the westernmost corner of Rural Section 32407; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 32407 and a right line in continuation thereof to the Little River; thence generally north-westerly up the Little River to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 28846; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary and north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 28846 to the western boundary of Rural Section 33500; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Rural Section 33500 and of Rural Section 36984 to the northern boundary of Rural Section 33501; thence westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Rural Section 33501 to the present boundary of the Ashburton Electric-power District at the westernmost corner of Rural Section 36473; thence generally north-easterly along the said present boundary of the Ashburton Electric-power District to the middle of the Rakaia River; thence north-westerly up the middle of the Rakaia River to the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 115, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of June, 1950.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Napier City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 54 ft.
