IN LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, that the following special resolution was passed on the 13th day of June, 1950.

“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr. T. K. CLARK, Importer, of Auckland, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

Notice to Creditors to Prove

The liquidator of VICTORIA SHOES, LIMITED, which is being wound up voluntarily, hereby fixes the 20th day of July, 1950, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or as the case may, be from objecting to such distribution.

CROMWELL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN the matter of the Sewerage Renewal Loan, 1950, £3,360: A special meeting of the Cromwell Borough Council was held on the 31st day of March at the Council Chambers, Melmore Street, Cromwell, for the purpose of passing the following resolution, public notice of which was given in the Otago Daily Times on the 14th and 28th April, 1950, and the aforesaid resolution was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Cromwell Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Melmore Street, Cromwell, on Thursday, 4th May, at 8 p.m. :

“Resolved, that for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Sewerage Renewal Loan, 1950, of £3,360, authorized to be raised by the Cromwell Borough Council in pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1936, for the purpose of a sewerage scheme for the borough, the said Cromwell Borough Council hereby resolves that the special rate of 3½d. in the pound and levied on all rateable property in the Borough of Cromwell comprising the whole of the borough on the 27th January, 1950, and that such special rate of 3½d. in the pound be made and levied on the aforesaid rateable property and shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan of £3,360, and be rateable half-yearly on the 1st day of the months of March and September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 (ten) years or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

Final Meeting of Company for Presentation of Liquidator’s Accounts

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of FUR INVESTMENTS, LTD. (in voluntary liquidation), will be held at the registered office of Messrs. J. K. MOONEY AND CO., LTD., 258 Vogel Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 14th day of July, 1950, at 2.15 p.m. for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining the manner in which the books, accounts and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
