Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block III, Awakino East Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Te Kuiti—New Plymouth Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road in Block III, Awakino East Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Te Kuiti—New Plymouth Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point on the Te Kuiti—New Plymouth Main Highway approximately 4 chains north-east of the westernmost corner of Karu-o-Te-Whenua B No. 2B, Section 5A, No. 2 Block, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for approximately 23 chains and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.,—viz., Karu-o-Te-Whenua B No. 2B, Section 5A, No. 2 Block; Karu-o-Te-Whenua B No. 2B, Section 5A, No. 3 Block; Karu-o-Te-Whenua B No. 2B, Section 5A, No. 4 Block—and terminating at a point on the aforesaid main highway opposite the southernmost corner of Karu-o-Te-Whenua B No. 2B, Section 5A, No. 1 Block, Block III, Awakino East Survey District, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the South Auckland Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130600, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of January, 1950.

The Southern Side of Portion of Gillies Street, in the County of Bay of Islands, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1950
Present:
THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Bay of Islands County Council on the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz. :—
“That this Council, being the local authority having control of the roads and streets hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the southern side of portion of Gillies Street fronting subdivision of Section 2, Suburbs of Kawakawa, and Lot 1, D.R.O. W. 46, being part Te Wharau Block, both of Kawakawa Town,”
such portion of road being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of road situated in the North Auckland Land District, County of Bay of Islands, known as Gillies Street, fronting Section 2, Suburbs of Kawakawa and Lot 1, Deeds Plan No. W. 46, being part Te Wharau Block, Kawakawa Town District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130486, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Warrant Appointing Conciliation Commissioner Under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by section forty of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Albert Bell Rigg
to be a Conciliation Commissioner under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act; appointment to date from the fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifty.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of December, 1949.
