All that portion of the County of Hutt bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the sea-coast north-west of the northern-
most corner of Pukerua 3c, No. 1A, situated in Block VI, Paekakariki
Survey District; thence by a right line to that corner being a point
on the eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway;
thence proceeding south-westerly generally along that eastern side
to the block boundary between Blocks V and VI, Paekakariki
Survey District; thence southerly along that block boundary to
the southern boundary of Pukerua 2A 1; thence westerly along
that boundary to the eastern side of the Wellington-Paekakariki
Centennial State Highway; thence southerly generally along that
side to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 84,
Porirua District; thence to and along that boundary to the northern
shore of Porirua Harbour; thence westerly and northerly generally
along the shore of Porirua Harbour and the sea-coast to the point
of commencement.

Also all that portion of the County of Hutt bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the southern shore of Porirua Harbour
in line with the eastern boundary of Section 94, Porirua District;
thence to and along that boundary to the southern boundary of
that section; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of
Sections 94, 95, 96, and 97, Porirua District, and the northern
boundary of Section 99, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District,
and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the shore
of the Porirua Harbour; thence northerly and easterly generally
along the shore of Porirua Harbour to the point of commencement.

All that portion of the County of Hutt bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the sea-coast north-west of the northern-
most corner of Pukerua 3c, No. 1A, situated in Block VI, Paekakariki
Survey District; thence southerly generally along the eastern
boundary of the Taupo Riding above described to the northern
shore of Porirua Harbour; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly
along the shores of the said harbour to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of Section 94, Porirua District; thence to and
along that boundary to the southern boundary of that section;
thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 94, 95,
96, and 97, Porirua District, to the south-eastern corner of Section
98, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, being a point on the
county boundary as described in New Zealand Gazette 1945, page
389, to the north-western corner of Section 331, Hutt District;
thence north-easterly generally along the northern boundaries
generally of Sections 331, 328, 333, the western and northern
boundaries of Sections 335, 431, 430, and 202, Hutt District, to

The foregoing Special Order was duly passed at a special meeting
of the Hutt County Council held on 15th March, 1950, and confirmed
at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on 26th day of April,
1950.

The said Special Order was duly made in accordance with the
provisions of section 99 of the Counties Act, 1920.

The Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants
of the County of Hutt was hereunto affixed, this 11th day of May,
1950, in the presence of—

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
Declaring Lands Taken for the Settlement of Discharged
Servicemen

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settle-
ment and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the
intention of the Minister of Lands to take, under Part II of the
said Act, the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, and
a copy of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 22 on the 22nd day of April, 1948, at page 430:

And whereas an objection was made by the owner of the said
lands in the manner prescribed by the said Act objecting to the
taking of the said lands:

And whereas the Minister of Lands did not revoke his notice
of intention to take the said lands:

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which such
objection was referred did on the 5th day of April, 1950, make an
order allowing the said objection subject to the varying of the
First Schedule hereto by the inclusion of the lands described in
the Second Schedule hereto and the Crown being allowed to take
the lands described in the said Second Schedule:

And whereas the owner has consented to the varying of the
said First Schedule by the inclusion of the lands described in the
said Second Schedule:

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee did further order
that the lands described in the said Second Schedule are farm lands
adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman or of two
or more discharged servicemen:

And whereas no appeal from the said Order was made within
the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time
allowed by the Court:

And whereas the lands described in the said Second Schedule
are not the lands of any serviceman who is for the time being serving
outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any
British ship:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance
of section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands
described in the said Second Schedule are taken for the settlement
of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of October,
1950, as the date on which the said lands shall be deemed to be vested
in His Majesty the King.
