Crown Land in Taranaki Land District Set Apart for the Purposes
of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by
section 9 of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
is hereby set apart for the purpose of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in the Borough of Opunake containing seven
(7) acres and twelve decimal eight (12.8) perches, more or less,
being part of Subdivisions 9 and 10, Opunake Town Belt. As the
same is more particularly delineated an the plan numbered L. and S.
22/1881B, and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Plans
S.O. 547 and 6268.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 25th day of May, 1950.

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section 18 of the Forests Act, 1949, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Thames County,
containing by admeasurement 492 acres, more or less, and being
Section 4, Block III, Ohinemuri Survey District. As the same
is more particularly delineated on plan No. 26/47, deposited in the
Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. (South Auckland plan S.O. 21774s.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of May, 1950

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (herein-
after referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the
land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved
for historic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such
recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto shall be an historic reserve under the said Act,
and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Borough of Kaikohe, situated in Block XV,
Omapere Survey District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres
2 roods 29 perches, being Lots 1 and 2 as shown on a plan deposited
in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, under No. 30163, and
being parts Taraire No. lw 2B Block. As the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 7/769c,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of May, 1950.

Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section six of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard
Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described
in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal district for the purposes of
the said Act, and do hereby assign to the said district the name
"Northern Ngatiruanui District."
SCHEDULE
NORTHERN NGATIRUANUI TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that area comprising the Boroughs of Hawera and Eltham,
the Town District of Normanby and portions of Eltham, Hawera,
and Patea Counties, bounded by a line commencing at a point in
the middle of the mouth of the Waingongoro River; thence north-
easterly up the middle of that river to the Stuart Road crossing
