WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute certain public works—to wit, the formation of roads—for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23. A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Te Kauwhata Town Board, Te Kauwhata. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council, within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

  2. 8·1 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment No. 574 of the Parish of Whangamarino, shown on Survey Office Plan No. 34200, and thereon coloured blue.

  3. 1 rood 24·9 perches being part of the land on Deposited Plan No. 4781, being part of Allotment No. 394 of the Parish of Whangamarino, shown on Survey Office Plan No. 34200, and thereon coloured sepia.

  4. 31·7 perches, more or less, being part of the land on Deposited Plan No. 23798, being part of Allotment No. 394 of the Parish of Whangamarino, shown on Survey Office Plan No. 34200, and thereon coloured orange.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Worker’s Dwelling Loan, 1950

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Hobson County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of refunding to the County Fund Account of the Hobson County Council moneys applied by the Council in the purchase and repair of a dwellinghouse for one of the Council’s employees, the said Hobson County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-sixth pence (¹⁄₂₆ d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hobson, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Hobson County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Normanby Street, Dargaville, on Tuesday, the 9th day of May, 1950.

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairarapa South County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, widening of a public road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken :

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the Public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at Memorial Square, Carterton, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Memorial Square, Carterton.
