Tallow.
Tobacco and cigarettes.
Wines.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Note is not part of the Price Order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This Price Order authorizes an adjustment of prices where an increase in the cost of any goods to the vendor has been caused by the removal of subsidies and the increase in freight charges.

The Order does not authorize any adjustment of prices that are fixed by any of the Price Orders or approvals referred to in the Schedule, nor will it affect any Price Order or approval made or given after the coming into force of this Order.

The authorization relates only to actual increased costs due to the removal of subsidies and increase in freight rates and the Order does not authorize a vendor who is now permitted to charge a percentage on cost to add that percentage to any increased costs referred to in the Order.

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one of section eight of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in the City of Christchurch containing by admeasurement 1 rood 14·3 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 4470 (formerly part of Rural Section 557, and being also described as Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch under No. 14203). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/9F, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of May, 1950.
