Price Order No. 1155 (General Price Adjustment)
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following Price Order:

1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1155, and shall come into force on the 16th day of May, 1950.
2. (1) Subject to the provisions of clause 3 hereof, it shall not be deemed a breach of any Price Order or approval given under section 16 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, in force on the coming into force of this Order, if adjustments are made to the price of any goods to which any such Price Order or approval relates to provide for:
   (a) The actual amount by which the cost of the goods to the vendor has been increased by or as the result of the removal since the 5th day of May, 1950, of subsidies on any of the ingredients used in the manufacture of the goods; and
   (b) The actual amount by which the cost of the goods to the vendor has been increased by or as the result of any increase, since the 14th day of May, 1950, in freight charges payable in respect of carriage of the goods within New Zealand.
   (2) Nothing in the last preceding subclause or in any Price Order or approval shall be deemed to authorize the charging for any goods of an amount greater than the sum of the amount which, on the 5th day of May, 1950, the vendor was authorized, pursuant to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, to charge for the goods and any additional costs incurred by the vendor in respect of which an adjustment of price is authorized by the last preceding subclause.
   (3) Where the price of any goods computed in accordance with the terms of this Order is not an exact number of halfpence it may be computed to the next upward halfpenny.
3. Nothing in this Order shall be deemed to affect the provisions of any Price Order or approval referred to in the Schedule to this Order.
