A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act,
1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto;
and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the
Second Schedule hereto.

as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General

Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of May, 1950.

Authorizing New Zealand Forest Products, Limited, to Erect and Use
Certain Electric Lines in the County of Taupo

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
May, 1950
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant, subject to the conditions
hereinafter set forth, a licence authorizing New Zealand Forest
Products, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered
office at Auckland (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay,
construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the
Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical
Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations
1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence,
except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions
hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the
licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical
Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations
1934, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or
amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d)
of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall
be alternating current.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue
in force until the 31st day of March, 1971, or until electrical energy
is available from an Electric-power Board or other general public
source of supply, whichever is the earlier.
- PURPOSE FOR WHICH ELECTRICITY SUPPLIED
The electricity supplied in accordance with these presents
shall be used for lighting purposes only.
SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the distribution of electrical energy by the
system of supply hereinbefore described commencing from the
licensee’s generator and proceeding as follows :—
(1) In a north-westerly direction to the licensee’s accommodation
building, and cookhouse ;
(2) In a south-easterly direction across the Mokai Road to a
pole situated on the south-eastern side of the said Moakai Road
with branch lines leading as follows :—
(a) In a north-easterly and easterly direction to an employee’s
dwelling ;
(b) In a south-easterly direction to an employee’s dwelling ;
(c) In a south-westerly and southerly direction to an employee’s
dwelling.
All being situated in part Lot 4, D.P. 21101, part Tatua West Block,
Block X, Te Atiamuri Survey District, in the County of Taupo ;
the said lines being more particularly delineated by means of
broken black lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 102, deposited in
the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric
Department.

licensee’s generator and proceeding thence across a private road
to the licensee’s workshop, cookhouse, office, and washroom, to
single men’s huts; thence across the said private road and the
Putaruru–Taupo Main Highway to employees’ dwellings and across
the Orakei–Korako Road to H. Clarke’s store, the positions of all
the said buildings being indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 101,
deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-
electric Department. All being situated in D.P. 590, part Tatua
West Block, Block VI, Te Atiamuri Survey District, in the County
of Taupo; the said lines being more particularly delineated by
means of broken black lines on the said plan S.H.D. 101.
