Authorizing the Teviot Electric-power Board to Erect and Use Electric
Lines Within Parts of the Tuapeka County, and Amending an
Existing Licence

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of
April, 1950
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Electric-
power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the First Schedule
hereto, hereby authorize the Teviot Electric-power Board (herein-
after with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee) to
lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described
in the Second Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of
section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, subject
to the said conditions, doth hereby authorize the licensee to con-
struct and maintain the said electric works; and further, doth
hereby amend the Order in Council dated the fourth day of Sep-
tember, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published
in the Gazette on the seventh day of the same month, granting to
the licensee a licence to take and use from the Teviot River for the
purposes therein set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 25 cubic
feet per second at any one time, and also to use electric lines within
the Teviot Electric-power District, by deleting clause ten of the
Schedule, and substituting therefor the clause set forth in the Third
Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS
    The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical
    Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations
    1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence,
    except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions
    hereof.

  2. LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
    In respect of the lines hereby authorized, the licensee shall
    comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934,
    and with any regulations made or to be made in amendment or
    amplification thereof or in substitution therefor.

  3. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
    The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a),
    (d), (e), and (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regula-
    tions 1935. The primary distribution voltages shall be 11,000
    volts, 6,600 volts, and 3,300 volts between phases.

  4. DURATION OF LICENCE
    This licence shall unless sooner lawfully determined, continue
    in force until the 4th day of September, 1964.

SECOND SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the systems
of supply hereinbefore described within those parts of the Teviot
Electric-power District described in the Schedule to the Proclamation
dated the 1st day of November, 1924, and published in the Gazette
on the 6th day of the same month, the electric lines now erected
and used being shown by means of red lines and yellow lines on the
plan marked S.H.D. 103, deposited in the office of the Minister in
Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

THIRD SCHEDULE
"10. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
"The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a),
(d), (e), and (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regula-
tions 1935. The generating voltage shall be approximately 3,300
volts between terminals. The primary distribution voltages shall
be 11,000 volts, 6,600 volts, and 3,300 volts between phases."

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Harpham Street, in the
Taradale Town District, Subject to a Condition as to the
Building-line

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of
April, 1950
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act, 1948, and section one hundred and twenty-
five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize
the Taradale Town Board to permit the laying-off of the proposed
street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its
length of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, subject
to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any
time be erected on the land fronting such street within a distance
of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Taradale
Town District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 12 perches,
more or less, being part Suburban Section 62, Meeanee, and part
Blocks 27 and 28, Puketapu Crown Grant District, and being also
part Lot 43, Deeds Plan 557. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131208, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Hills Road, in the City of
Christchurch, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of
April, 1950
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act,
1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize
the Christchurch City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed
street described in the Schedule hereto at a width, for part of its
length, of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, subject
to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any
time be erected on the land, shown edged green on P.W.D. 131053,
within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of such
proposed street.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City of
Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 20 perches,
more or less, being part Lot 34, D.P. 9658, being part Rural Section
1070. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 131053, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Borough of Riccarton

April, 1950

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Riccarton
Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street
described in the Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of its
length of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty-eight feet
eleven inches.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of
Riccarton, being an extension of Chatham Street, containing by
admeasurement 23Β·75 perches, more or less, being Lot 9, D.P. 1498,
being part Rural Section 118. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130910, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.
