Notice to Mariners No. 24 of 1950

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—PARAPARAUMU
Airport Rotating Beacon Established
Position: Lat., 40° 54′ S.; Long., 175° 01′ E. (approx.).
Details: A high-intensity rotating beacon has been installed at the Airport, Paraparaumu, and it is possible that the beam will be visible from seaward over two arcs, one north and one south, between Kapiti Island and the mainland. The beacon, elevated 80 ft. above M.H.W.S., has a character cycle of 16 alternate white and green flashes per minute and a clear-weather visibility of 40 miles to aircraft. The light will be exhibited from sunset until 2200 N.Z.S.T.

Sale of Unclaimed Property

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the Police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, the 29th April, 1950, be sold thereafter by public auction. Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the District.
