Price Order No. 1137 (Amendment No. 3 of Price Order No. 1000)
(Hotel Tariffs)

Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal,
acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and
Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1137, and shall
    be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1000*
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 16th day of April,

  3. The Schedule to the principal Order, as amended by Price
    Orders No. 1073† and 1107‡, is hereby further amended as follows :—

(a) By inserting therein the names of the hotels and the reference
to the grades of those hotels specified hereunder :—

(c) By omitting the references to the Lake Hotel and the Spa

(d) By omitting the locality “Waiuhu”, and substituting the
locality “Waiuku”.

    be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1056*
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 13th day of April,

  3. The First Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended
    by omitting all words and figures appearing under the heading
    “Floor-coverings (excluding Feltex)” and substituting the appropriate
    words and figures in the Schedule to this Order.

Part III, of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Pharmacy Industry

James Seymour Francis, 25A Clarence Street, Devonport,
Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at
191 Cameron Road, Tauranga.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

Hugh H. Pattison, Mayfield, has applied for a licence to resell
motor-spirits from one pump to be installed on garage premises
in Mayfield.

Roland J. Warrington, 316 High Street, Carterton, has applied
for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed
on garage premises at 316 High Street, Carterton.

Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Okahu Bay, Orakei,
Auckland, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirits from two
pumps to be installed on proposed premises at the above address.

Ivan Henry Twydle, Main Road, Upper Moutere, Nelson, has
applied for a licence to resell motor-spirits from one pump to be
installed on garage premises at the above address.

Hector Nunns, 814 Gladstone Road, Gisborne, has applied for
a licence to resell motor-spirits from four pumps to be installed on
service-station premises at the above address.

Auto-Massey, Limited, Alfred Street, Blenheim, have applied
for a licence to resell motor-spirits from one pump to be installed
on service-station and garage premises at the above address.

George Watson-Green, Great North Road, Ranui, has applied
for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed

Robert J. Gifford and John M. Dephoff, 1 Halsey Road,

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 27th April, 1950, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.

In accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912,
notice is hereby given that the following officers have been

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee

Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and
authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust
Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the
Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed William John Milner
Grant, of the Public Trust Office, Dunedin, to be deputy of the
District Public Trustee, Dunedin, during the absence of such District
Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all
previous warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public
Trustee have been revoked.
