At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of April, 1950

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

Varying an Order in Council Setting Apart Maori Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of March, 1950

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary the Order in Council made on the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, and published in the Gazette on the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, at page 711, and affecting Te Touwai B 25a and another block, by substituting for the words “the descendants of Tupe,” the words “the members of the Whanaupani I, Kaitangata, and Ngati-Kawau sub-tribes.”

Declaring Buildings and Land at Lake Alice, Rangitikei County, Wellington Land District, to be a Public Institution Within the Meaning of the Mental Defectives Act, 1911

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of March 1950

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section forty-four of the Mental Defectives Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, declare that any building provided and maintained wholly or in part out of moneys appropriated by Parliament, together with any land used or intended to be used in connection therewith, is a public institution within the meaning of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the buildings situated on the land described in the Schedule hereto, being buildings provided and maintained wholly or in part out of moneys appropriated for the purpose by Parliament, together with the land described in the said Schedule, and used or intended to be used in connection with the said buildings, to be a public institution within the meaning of the Mental Defectives Act, 1911.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the County of Rangitikei, containing by admeasurement 535 acres 3 roods 17·4 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 38, 39, 43, 44, 65, and 74, Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, and part of Block XI, Rangitikei District, and closed roads, situated in Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 449, folio 299 (limited as to parcels), Wellington Registry (S.O. plans 19938, 21560); also all that area in the County of Rangitikei, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 1 rood 2 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 44 and 65, Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, situated in Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 337, folio 5 (limited as to parcels), Wellington Registry (S.O. plan 19938).

Foreshore Licence: Stewart Island Fish Packing and Storage Company, Limited, Stewart Island, Half Moon Bay—Fish Shed

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of April, 1950

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit the Stewart Island Fish Packing and Storage Company, Limited, of Invercargill (hereinafter called the company, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Half Moon Bay, in Stewart Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 4075, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining a fish shed thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

THIS licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The premium payable by the company shall be one pound (£1), and the annual sum so payable by the company shall be ten shillings (10s.).

The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of March, 1950.
