Officiating Ministers for 1950.—Notice No. 12

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, the following names of officiating ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—

Sale of Unclaimed Property

Police Department,
Wellington, 3rd April, 1950.

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the Police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, the 29th April, 1950, be sold thereafter by public auction. Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the District.

Exempted Goods (Control of Prices) Notice 1950, No. 4

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby revokes every Price Order in force and every approval given under section 16 of the said Act so far as any such Price Order or approval relates to the sale of new potatoes. This revocation shall be deemed to have come into force prior to the coming into force of the exemption referred to in clause 2 of this Notice.

  1. Pursuant to section 18 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby gives notice that new potatoes are exempt from the provisions of Part III of the Control of Prices Act, 1947.

  2. In this Notice “new potatoes” means potatoes grown in New Zealand that are the produce of seed potatoes planted after the 31st day of January in any year and are sold for delivery after the 31st day of May in that year and on or before the last day of February of the following year.

Price Order No. 1134 (Amending Price Order No. 1076) (Apples and Pears)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1134, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1076* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 10th day of April, 1950.

  3. The First and Second Schedules to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 1131†, are hereby revoked, and the following Schedules substituted therefor respectively:—
