Exemption Orders Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the
persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provision shall apply :—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers
Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1
of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy
trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market
garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said
Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of
eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Orders Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the Pleasant Point Town District
for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice
is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post-office at Pleasant Point and is there
open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
1 rood.
Being Lot 119, D.P. 5, part Rural Section 10484, Pleasant Point
Town District, and being the balance of the land comprised
in certificate of title, Vol. 6, folio 252 (Canterbury Land
Registry).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131148, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve
of the formation of the undermentioned Defence Rifle
Clubs :—
Wataroa Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Wataroa,
South Westland. Dated 15th October, 1948.
Legion of Frontiersmen (Cornwall Troop) Defence Rifle Club,
with headquarters at Cornwall Park, Auckland. Dated
