Non-existence of Bank

Position: Lat., 44° 03′ S.; long., 173° 00′ E. (approx.).

Details: On 16th February, 1950, H.M.N.Z.S. “Bellona” carried out an extensive sounding survey over the 10-fathom bank reported in the approaches to Akaroa. The least water obtained was 37 fathoms, and it is considered that the bank does not exist and the notation “a bank of 10 fathoms reported in this neighbourhood (1857)” is to be expunged.

Exempted Services (Control of Prices) Notice 1950, No. 3


PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby revokes every approval given under section 16 of the said Act so far as any such approval relates to the charges for any services referred to in the Schedule hereto. This revocation shall be deemed to have come into force prior to the coming into force of the exemption referred to in clause 2 of this Notice.

  1. Pursuant to section 18 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby gives notice that the services specified in the Schedule hereto are exempt from the provisions of Part III of the Control of Prices Act, 1947.

SCHEDULE

THE rates or fees charged for services rendered in relation to the provision of tuition or of board and lodging for pupils attending private schools.
