Directing Application of Moneys Received in Respect of the Appleby Bridge Domain, Nelson Land District, for the Purposes of the Rabbit Island Domain

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section sixty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that from the moneys received in respect of the Appleby Bridge Domain, described in the First Schedule hereto, and at the date hereof lying to the credit of the said domain, a sum not exceeding fifty pounds shall be applied in managing, administering, and improving the Rabbit Island Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—APPLEBY BRIDGE DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 13 acres, more or less, being Section 2, Block II, Waimea Survey District: Bounded towards the east by the Waimea River; towards the south-east by an overflow of the said river; and towards the west and north-west by a public road forming the eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 52, 10, and 8 of the Waimea West Original District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/347, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—RABBIT ISLAND DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 365 acres, more or less, and being the following four parts of Rabbit Island, in Block II, Waimea Survey District:—
All that area containing 22 acres 2 roods, bounded towards the south-west by a line 15 chains long and 15 chains distant from and parallel to high-water mark, the centre of the said line being the centre of the track which crosses the island in a north-easterly direction from a point opposite to the north-east corner of Rough Island; towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the south-west boundary, and 750 links from the centre thereof; towards the north-east by high-water mark; and towards the south-east by a line 15 chains distant from and parallel to the north-west boundary.
Also all that area containing 41 acres 2 roods, being a strip of land lying 250 links on each side of the centre of the before-mentioned track: Bounded towards the southern end by high-water mark, and towards the northern end by the portion of the island firstly described above.
Also all that area containing 171 acres, being a strip of land 5 chains wide, starting from a point on the southern shore of the island, the said point being about 25 chains in a south-easterly direction from the south-west corner thereof, and thence following along high-water mark in a generally north-westerly, northerly, and south-easterly direction till it reaches the area firstly described above.
Also all that area containing 130 acres, being a strip of land 5 chains wide, starting from a point on the southern shore of the island, the said point being about 14 chains in a north-westerly direction from the south-east corner thereof, and thence following along high-water mark in a generally south-easterly, north-easterly, and north-westerly direction till it reaches the area firstly described above.
Be all the aforesaid dimensions more or less. As the said portions are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/371, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also Section 4 (Birds Island), Waimea East District, Block II, Waimea Survey District: Area, 13 acres, more or less.

Defining the Purpose of a Public Reserve in the Canterbury Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a public reserve within the meaning of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and in the opinion of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand a doubt exists as to the purpose of such reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection two of section six of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby define the purpose to which the land described in the said Schedule shall be dedicated as being an addition to a site for a technical school (Papanui).
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block VII, Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement 39·9 perches, more or less, being Reserve 4088, and being also described as Lot 13 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch under No. 6319, being part of Rural Section 5. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/656, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Mount Herbert County Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for a site for county buildings, and is vested in the Mount Herbert County Council:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Mount Herbert County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Mount Herbert County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

RESERVE 4543 (formerly Lot 1, D.P. 13756, being part Rural Section 93), Block V, Pigeon Bay Survey District: Area, 1 rood 9·6 perches, more or less.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for a public cemetery, and is vested, in trust, in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taumarunui:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Taumarunui County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taumarunui of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
