of Lot 2, as shown on the plan numbered 22069 aforesaid; thence along the aforesaid north-eastern boundary, to and down the middle of the Waioraka Stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, as shown on the plan numbered 29557, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Pakuranga No. 2B Block, and Section 42 of Block II and Section 46 of Block VII, Patetere South Survey District aforesaid; thence along a right line, to and along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2, along another right line across a public road, to and along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Lot 3, as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 29557, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, as shown on the plan numbered 23248, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Section 43A of the aforesaid Selwyn Settlement, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Paraonui Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 54, Block III, Patetere South Survey District aforesaid; thence along a right line, to and along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Section 54, along another right line, across the Taupo Totara Timber Company's Railway, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, as shown on the plan numbered 27415, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Section 44 of the said settlement, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the public road forming the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of the aforesaid Lot 1; thence northerly generally along the middle of that road, to and along the middle of the Waitoa-Waiarakei Main Highway, along the middle of the public road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 30, Block XV, Patetere North Survey District, to and along the middle of the aforesaid Taupo Totara Timber Company's Railway to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 32 (Putaruru Domain), Block XI, Patetere North Survey District aforesaid; thence along a right line, to and along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Section 32, and along another right line, being that boundary produced to the middle of the Auckland-Rotorua Railway; thence easterly generally along the middle of that railway to the eastern boundary of the Matamata County as hereinbefore described; thence southerly, westerly, and northerly along the boundary of the aforesaid county to the point of commencement.

WHEREAS, at the request of the Rotorua and Tauranga County Councils, the Local Government Commission, in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, has made inquiry into certain proposals for an alteration of the boundaries of the County of Tauranga and the County of Rotorua :
And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the said Act, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, providing for the exclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Rotorua and the inclusion of such area in the County of Tauranga :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme and to make supplementary provisions for giving full effect to such scheme:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifty, the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Rotorua and included in the County of Tauranga, that the boundaries of the Counties of Tauranga and Rotorua as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area added as aforesaid to the County of Tauranga shall be included in the Waimapu, Maketu, and Te Puke Ridings of that County ; that the boundaries of the Waimapu, Maketu, and Te Puke Ridings as so altered shall be those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto ; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby also declare that the alteration of boundaries of the said Counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act, 1920.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF ROTORUA AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF TAURANGA
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District situated in the County of Rotorua, containing approximately 73,300 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the point of intersection of the northern boundary of Section 12, Block VII, Rotoma Survey District, with the western boundary of the County of Whakatane, as described in Gazette No. 109, of the 31st day October, 1940, page 2780, and running westerly generally along the northern boundary of Section 12 aforesaid, along a right line across the Rotoma-Matata Main Highway, to and along the northern boundary of Section 8, Block VII aforesaid, along the northern boundaries of Sections 15 and 18 of Block VI of the aforesaid Rotoma Survey District, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Pongakawa-Rotoehu Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block I, Rotoma Survey District; thence along a right line, to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 2 and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Pongakawa Stream ; thence up the middle of that stream, to and along the northern boundaries of part Rotoiti No. 5B, No. 5A, part No. 4, and No. 3v Blocks, crossing the intervening Kaikokopu and Maniatutu Roads and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Pokopoko Stream ; thence down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Waipara No. Id Block; thence along a right line, to and along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned block and along another right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Te Ngae-Paengaroa Main Highway; thence northerly generally along the middle of the said main highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Okere No. 1E Block; thence again westerly generally along a right line, to and along the north-eastern boundary of the said Okere No. 1E Block, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Kaituna River ; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Ngatipahiko B No. 1B Block; thence along a right line, to and along the said northern boundary, along the northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 1, Block II, Rotoiti Survey District, the abutment of Kapakapa Road, and the northern boundary of Section 9, Block I, Rotoiti Survey District, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mangorewa River ; thence up the middle of the said river, to and up the middle of the Ohanpara Stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 13, Block III, Rotorua Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Section 13 aforesaid, to and along the north-western boundary of Taumata No. 3A 1B Block to the boundary of the Matamata County, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 15 of the 20th day of March, 1947, page 330 ; thence north-westerly, easterly, and southerly generally along the boundaries of the Matamata County aforesaid, the Tauranga County as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 51 of the 25th day of July, 1946, page 1022, and the Whakatane County, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 109, of the 31st day of October, 1940, page 2780, to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
COUNTY OF TAURANGA
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block I, Katikati North Survey District, on the shores of the Bay of Plenty, known as Te Ararimu, and being the south-eastern corner of Waihi No. 5 Block, and running south-easterly along the generally line of the coast to the north-eastern corner of Waewaehikitia No. 1 Block; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundary Waewaehikitia No. 1 Block aforesaid, along a right line across the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, to and along the eastern boundaries of Urupa Block, and Waewaehikitia Nos. 2B, 2A, and 3 Blocks, along a right line across a public road, to and along the eastern boundary of part of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 8636, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Tahunaroa No. 2 Block, along a right line across the Paeroa-Whakatane Main Highway; to and along the eastern boundaries of Lots 2, 4, and 6 as shown on the plan numbered 35929, deposited as aforesaid, Lots 15, 14, part 13, 11, and 10 as shown on plan numbered 8636 aforesaid, all the aforesaid lots being part of the said Tahunaroa No. 2 Block, along the eastern boundaries of Tahunaroa No. 3A Block and Section 6, Block VI, Waihi South Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along a right line running to the north-western corner of part Section 15, Block XI, Rotoma Survey District, to its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 12, Block VII, Rotoma Survey District; thence westerly generally along the northern boundary of Section 12 aforesaid, along a right line across the Rotoma-Matata Main Highway, to and along the northern boundary of Section 8, Block VII, aforesaid, along the northern boundaries of Sections 15 and 18, Block VI, Rotoma Survey District, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Pongakawa-Rotoehu Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block I, Rotoma Survey District; thence along a right line, to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 2 and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Pongakawa Stream; thence up the middle of that stream, to and along the northern boundaries of part Rotoiti Nos. 5B, 5A, part 4 and 3v Blocks, crossing the intervening Kaikokopu and Maniatutu Roads and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Pokopoko Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Waipara No. Id Block; thence along a right line, to and along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned block and along another right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Te Ngae-Paengaroa Main Highway; thence northerly generally along the middle of the said main highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Okere No. 1E Block; thence again westerly
