A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as street the land described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126983, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above-mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of March, 1950.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Kokonga-Tiroiti Rabbit District.--(Notice No. Ag. 4825)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1950
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:
And whereas the district known as the Kokonga-Tiroiti Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers' list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid:
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE KOKONGA-TIROITI RABBIT DISTRICT
All that area in the Otago Land District and the Waihemo and Maniototo Counties containing 60,300 acres, more or less, being parts of Maniototo, Swinburn, and Rock and Pillar Survey Districts, bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-west corner of Run 205D in Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence generally northerly along the western boundaries of Runs 205D, 205H, 205P, and 205G to Gorge Road; thence south-westerly along Gorge Road to the western boundary of Section 23, Block 1, Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundary of aforesaid Section 23; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Section 1, Block XV, Maniototo Survey District; and northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 1 and 8, Block XV, aforesaid and its production to the centre of the Taieri River; thence generally easterly along the centre of the Taieri River and north-easterly up the Main Stream of the Kyeburn to a point due west of the northern boundary of Section 22, Block VII, Swinburn Survey District; thence easterly to and along that boundary to the Kyeburn-Middlemarch Main Highway; thence north-easterly along that highway to the Palmerston-Clyde Main Highway; thence generally south-easterly along the said highway to the Shag River; thence generally southerly along the centre of the said river to the south-east corner of Run 203A, thence westerly along the southern boundary of Run 203A; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Run 203A and Sections 1 and 2, Block XII, Swinburn Survey District, to Trig. K, Flat Hill; thence generally south-easterly along the northern boundary of Block IV, Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Block IV aforesaid to the south-eastern corner of Section 2, said Block IV; thence westerly along the southern boundary of said Section 2; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 27 and 17, Block III, Rock and Pillar Survey District, to the Taieri River; thence generally southerly along the centre of the Taieri River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Run 205D, Block X, Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Run 205D to the point of commencement.

Altering Boundaries of Counties of Matamata and Taupo and Adding Area to Tokoroa Riding, County of Matamata

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of March, 1950
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas, at the request of the Matamata County Council, the Local Government Commission, in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, has made inquiry into certain proposals for an alteration of the boundaries of the County of Matamata and the County of Taupo:
And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the said Act, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, providing for the exclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Taupo and the inclusion of such area in the County of Matamata:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme and to make supplementary provisions for giving full effect to such scheme:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifty, the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Taupo and included in the County of Matamata; that the boundaries of the Counties of Matamata and Taupo as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area added as aforesaid to the County of Matamata shall be included in the Tokoroa Riding of that county; that the boundaries of the Tokoroa Riding as so altered shall be those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby also declare that the alteration of boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act, 1920.
