Revoking the Reservation Over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Westland Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto form portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 12 acres and 32 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 1198, Block VIII, Waiho Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the north-eastern boundary of Section 2915 and the eastern boundary of the Greymouth Waiho State Highway; thence in a northerly direction along the said highway bearing 2° 04′ for a distance of 979·8 links to the left bank of a stream; thence in a south-easterly direction generally along the said bank of the stream to the said north-eastern boundary of Section 2195; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said boundary bearing 315° 00′ for a distance of 1460·3 links to the point of commencement. (S.O. Plan 4189.) As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 583c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of March, 1950.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at Feilding

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton - New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Feilding Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 8·85 perches. Being part railway land, being part Lot 780, D.P. 19, being also part Subdivision A, Manchester Block.
Situated in Block XIV, Oroua Survey District, Borough of Feilding. (S.O. 21951.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10189, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of March, 1950.

Additional Land at Kopuawhara Taken for the Purpose of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :-

0 1 34·8 Part road; coloured green.
l 3 26·0 Part Block 2, Kopuawhara Crown Grant District; coloured orange.
Both situated in Block III, Mahanga Survey District, Wairoa County. (S.O. 2428.)
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10196, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 rood 19·8 perches. Being part Rural Section 242, situated in the City of Christchurch. (S.O. 8177.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10223, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of March, 1950.

Revoking a Proclamation Taking Additional Land at Kopuawhara for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of the twenty-second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, page 425, taking additional land at Kopuawhara for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of March, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1948.
