Notice of Meeting of Creditors

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an extraordinary resolution of the company, dated 6th March, 1950, passed in terms of subsection (7) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, to the effect that the company be wound up voluntarily, a meeting of creditors of the company will be held on Thursday, 16th March, 1950, at the office of Messrs McCulloch, Butler, and Spence, Lowe Street, Gisborne, at 7.30 p.m. All persons having claims against the company must lodge particulars of same with the liquidator within seven days of this date.

OHURA TOWN BOARD

STREETS IMPROVEMENT LOAN, 1949, £2,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ohura Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorized to be raised by the Ohura Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for street-improvements, the said Ohura Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of sevenpence (7d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Ohura Town Board District comprising the whole of the property of the Ohura Town Board Rating District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THE HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt requires to take the land described in the Schedule hereto. The land is required for the purpose of a public work—namely, a public road. A plan of the said land is open for inspection at the following places :—

(a) At the offices of Brandon, Ward, and Hislop, Solicitors, 150–152 Featherston Street, Wellington.

(b) At the residence of Mr. R. M. Banks, Main Road, Wainuiomata.

All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Hutt County Council at his office at Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington.

THAT piece of land containing 3 acres 3 roods 13 perches, being part Section 5, Wainuiomata District, as the same is shown coloured orange on Survey Office Plan numbered 21640.
