INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT, 1932-33, AND THE INVERCARGILL CITY LOANS CONVERSION ORDER, 1934

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Invercargill City Loans Conversion Order, 1934, and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Invercargill City Council at a meeting held on the 24th day of January, 1950, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of all debentures maturing on the 1st day of November, 1955, of the Invercargill City Conversion Loan, 1934; and public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Invercargill City Council’s intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on the 1st day of November, 1950, and interest thereon will cease on the said day. The debentures are numbers 7210 to 7372, being 7210 to 7268, 7270 to 7372 (inclusive) each £100, and 7269 for £50.

COUNTY OF RAGLAN

SPECIAL ORDER CONSTITUTING THE MANGATI DRAINAGE DISTRICT

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, and on the petition of not less than one-half of the ratepayers of the district hereinafter mentioned, the Raglan County Council hereby by way of special order declares that on and after the 13th day of March, 1950, the portion of the County of Raglan as described in the Schedule hereto shall be a district for the purpose of the construction of drainage works therein under the provisions of section 168 of the Counties Act, 1920, and shall be known as the Mangati Drainage District.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, situated in the Raglan County, in Blocks VI and VII, Whaingaroa Survey District, containing by admeasurement approximately 2,666 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 5, Block VI of Whaingaroa Survey District, and running north-easterly generally along the northern boundary of the aforesaid Section 5, to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 25, 8, and 9 of Block VI aforesaid, and Sections 1, 2, and 3 of Block VII of the said Whaingaroa Survey District to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundary of Section 3 aforesaid to the north-western side of the Te Akau–Waingaro Road; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western side of the aforesaid road and north-westerly generally along the north-eastern side of the Matira–Te Akau Road to the point of commencement.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A RECREATION GROUND

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and Amendments and the Counties Act, 1920, and Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain works—namely, the construction and formation of a public recreation ground passing through or adjoining the several parcels of land referred to hereunder, and situated in the Takapuna Riding of the County of Waitemata—and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated at the Council Chambers, 1 Princes Street, Auckland, and are open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must state their objection in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, at the Council Chambers:
