Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Vivian Walsh Wrightson, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Senior Administrative Assistant, Navy Department, Wellington, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 2nd day of March, 1950.

Revoking a Sanctuary and Declaring a Portion of the Toreparu Swamp, Karioi Survey District, in the Auckland Acclimatization District to be a Sanctuary

In pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby:

Revoke the Warrant made under the said section on the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-sixth day of the same month, at page 55, declaring part of the area known as the Toreparu Swamp to be a sanctuary under the said Act.

Notify and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary for the purpose of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
All that area of swamp included within Allotment S.E. 90, Lot 5 D.P. 25008 (Part S.E. 90), Allotment N.W. 90, S.W. 89, M. 89, N.E. 89, S.W. 86, E. 86, S. 85, N. 85, 126, 132, Manuaiti Blocks, B. 4 B. 3, B. 4 B. 2, B. 3, in Karioi Parish, in Blocks VIII, XII, and XIII, Karioi Survey District, Raglan County, being part of the area known as the Toreparu Swamp. As the same is delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/166, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Declaring the Oates Private Burial-ground Under Section 2 of the Cemeteries Amendment Act, 1912

Whereas a petition has been presented, under section two of the Cemeteries Amendment Act, 1912 (hereinafter termed the said Act), praying that the land described in the Schedule hereto be declared to be a private burial-ground to be called and known by the name of “The Oates Private Burial Ground”:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to grant the prayer of the said petition:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in that behalf vested in me by the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby declared to be a private burial-ground subject to the provisions of the said Act, to be called and known by the name of “The Oates Private Burial Ground.”
And I do further notify and declare that the lineal descendants of the late Samuel Oates, formerly of Carterton, Settler, who died on or about the twenty-ninth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, and any person who may intermarry or who may have intermarried with any lineal descendant of the said Samuel Oates shall be the only class of persons who may now or hereafter be buried in the said “Oates Private Burial Ground.”
SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land containing two roods twenty perches (2 roods 20 perches), be the same a little more or less, being part of Section 1, Taratahi Plain Block, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 129, folio 24 (Wellington Registry).

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Tenaumai Domain, North Auckland Land District

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one (d) of section fifty-two of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Tenaumai Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Tenaumai Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PORTION OF TENAUMAI DOMAIN SECTION 18, Naumai Village; Area, 3 roods 8 perches, more or less.
