FIRST SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE PARNASSUS RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Counties of Amuri and Cheviot of the Canterbury Land District, containing 3,491 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waiau River at the eastern boundary of Section 14, Annan Settlement; thence generally south-easterly along the left bank of the said Waiau River (being the present boundary of the Parnassus Rabbit District) to the sea; thence southerly by the sea to a point opposite the middle of the main stream of the said Waiau River; thence generally north-westerly along the middle of the main stream of that river (being the boundary of the Cheviot and Amuri Rabbit Districts) to a point opposite the eastern boundary of Section 14, Annan Settlement; thence northerly to the eastern boundary of that section at its intersection with the left bank of the Waiau River to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE PARNASSUS RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Counties of Amuri and Cheviot, of the Canterbury Land District, containing 102,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the intersection of the right bank of the Conway River with the right bank of the Gelt River in Block I, Hawksworth Survey District; thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction along the right bank of the Gelt River aforesaid to the easternmost corner of Lot 3, Deposited Plan No. 2884; thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 3, Deposited Plan No. 2884, the north-western boundary of Lot 2, Deposited Plan No. 2884, and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 2884, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence across and easterly along the left bank of the Gelt River to the easternmost corner of Section 16, Square 80, Block IV, Waiau Survey District; thence north-westerly and westerly along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of that section; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 15, Square 80, to its north-western corner; thence north-westerly along the fence-line bisecting the southern portion of Section (part) 48, Square 80 (the same being the northern boundary of the Mendip Hills Estate), to and across a road to the easternmost corner of Section 4, Annan Settlement; thence south-westerly generally along the eastern and southern boundaries of that section, the eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 14, Annan Settlement, to the stock reserve on the Stanton River; thence along the old rabbit-fence to the Stanton River, back in a northerly direction to the eastern boundary of Section 14; thence along same in a south-westerly and south-easterly direction to the centre of the main stream of the Waiau River; thence south-easterly generally along the centre of the main stream of that river to the sea; thence northerly by the sea to its junction with the right bank of the Conway River; thence up the said right bank of that river in a north-westerly direction to its intersection with the right bank of the Gelt River aforesaid, the point of commencement.

Boundaries of Borough of Lyttelton and County of Mount Herbert Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1949

Present:

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Local Government Commission, in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, has made inquiry into certain proposals for an alteration of the boundaries of the Borough of Lyttelton and the County of Mount Herbert:

And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the said Act, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, providing for the exclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Mount Herbert and the inclusion of such area in the Borough of Lyttelton:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifty, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Mount Herbert and included in the Borough of Lyttelton, and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby declare that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.

SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF MOUNT HERBERT AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF LYTTLETON

ALL that area in the Mount Herbert County, Canterbury Land District, containing approximately 19 acres, commencing at a point at the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 243E; thence north-westerly along the production of the north-eastern boundary of the said R.S. 243E to the sea (Lyttelton Harbour); thence easterly generally and southerly along the sea to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 22982; thence south-westerly by a right line to the easternmost corner of that Rural Section, the said corner being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Lyttelton; thence northerly and westerly generally by that borough boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Rural Section 243E, being the commencing point.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Mataea Street in the Borough of Pukekohe, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1949

Present:

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section one hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Pukekohe Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty-four feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 130367, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Pukekohe, to be known as Mataea Street, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 39 perches, more or less, being part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 17773, being part of Allotment 12, Parish of Pukekohe. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130367, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Tamar Street and Boundary Road, in the Borough of Oamaru, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1949

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section one hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Oamaru Borough Council to lay-off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said proposed street within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said proposed street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Otago Land District, Borough of Oamaru, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 1Β·5 perches, more or less, being part of the land marked A on the record map of the Town of Oamaru. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130431, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
