NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and its amendments, the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, and the Health Act, 1920, and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hobson County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the erection of a building containing sanitary conveniences and dressing-rooms for the convenience of the public on a certain section in Bayly Street, in the Town of Moetata, Chases Gorge, West Coast, Dargaville, in the County of Hobson—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Normanby Street, Dargaville.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing thirty-two perches (32 perches), more or less, situated in Block XIII of the Kaihu Survey District, being Lot 2 of Block IV, on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 20613 (Town of Moetata), which said parcel of land is portion of the Kaihu No. 1 Block, and the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 695, folio 292 (Auckland Registry).

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of one thousand one hundred and seventy pounds (£1,170), authorized to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Papatahi Water-supply Loan 1938, £2,000, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight pence half-penny (8½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Papatahi special rating area situate in the Kawakawa Riding in the Bay of Islands County, as defined in the following Schedule :—

“SCHEDULE
