Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Kaihere Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of December, 1949

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Hugh Clive McIndoe,
Archibald George Davis,
Albert Walters,
Randall Mathuen Benny, and
Francis Lionel Davis

to be the Kaihere Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the War Memorial Pavilion, Kaihere, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—KAIHERE DOMAIN

SECTIONS 6 and 7, Block I, Kaihere Village: Area, 3 acres 0 roods 17·4 perches, more or less.

Section 15, Block XII, Piako Survey District: Area, 5 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The member of the Whangarei County Council representing the Kiripaka Riding, ex officio,
Horace Brayford Goodhew,
Grenville William Edward Purchase,
Charles Kenroy Snell,
Wynne Roberts Snell,
John Herbert Delaveau,
Samuel Brown Caskey, and
Albert Edward Armstrong

to be the Ngunguru Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Ngunguru Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—NGUNGURU DOMAIN

ALL those areas in the Whangarei County, situated in Block IV, Whangarei Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 1 acre 3 roods 11·4 perches, more or less, being Lot 13 as shown on the plan numbered 36208, Lot 14 as shown on the plan numbered 33556, and Lot 31 as shown on the plan numbered 35764, all the aforesaid plans being deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, and the aforesaid Lots being parts of Kopipi Block. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 1/1237 and 1/1237A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block V, Takahue Survey District, North Auckland Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of December, 1949

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a technical college:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for buildings of the General Government:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a technical college to a reserve for buildings of the General Government.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Borough of Kaitaia, situated in Block V, Takahue Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood more or less, being Lot 144, as shown on the plan numbered 12724, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Old Land Claim No. 7. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/605, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block IX, Tahoraiti Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for public library and reading-room purposes:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for public library and reading-room purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.

Vesting a Reserve in the Upper Hutt Borough Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of December, 1949

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a reserve for a site for buildings of the Upper Hutt Borough Council: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt, in trust, for a site for buildings of the Upper Hutt Borough Council.
